I was born in Skipton & even christened where my parents were married in the parish church at the end of the high street. The other end used to be Woolworths! My great grandfather used to own a shop on the High Street too. Then there was Browns & also Whitakers where my mother had one of her 80ths. I haven't been back for a few years now as you can tell.6

I have very fond memories of staying with family friends in Skipton when I was little. I was obsessed with the dungeon in the castle, which tells you a lot about me as a small child7 -

Still quite a few rooms to deal with butI did the worst ones first 😂 Mr C has flagged early and barely done anything off his list, although all the books are out of the living room now. No food yet, but I'm not getting involved!
Need to leave at 7.30am to collect friend before race 😂😂 Should be home by 2, and as much as I'd like to just get in the bath, unfortunately I think I'll be hiding clothes in the bedroom, changing sheets, finishing the hoovering, and directing traffic 😬😂 Hopefully I'll be able to stay awake past 9pm!7 -
Hope you enjoy your race, Cheery, and still have lots of energy left for your party!Live the good life where you have been planted.

Thank you!
Race was very cheerful - we walked one lap, 7 miles, and it felt energetic enough 😂 Had tea and cake after the event which was nice, then dropped friend off and drove home - meeting Mr Cheery near home for a cuppa - he'd been working hard at party prep and needed a break.
Got the tent out the loft, changing sheets on the remaining bed, hoovering upstairs, and then I'm FINALLY going to have a bath and get out of my running kit 😂 Not much point until I'm ready to stop sweating 😂
(Mr C is doing some ominous banging downstairs... 😬 In a DIY-type way 🤔 I might stay up here for a while 😬)9 -

Thank you all, we are having a lovely time 🥰 I was flagging until I sneaked off for a nap on the swing seat in the garden, as the fire was right at the end, about half past midnight 😂 Three people have gone to bed, two have gone home, but the remaining 10 are still in the living room (which is where I'm sleeping 😬). Might have to sneak outside for another nap at some point 😂
I did pitch an emergency tent which I'm not planning to resort to, but if I've not managed to get to bed by 4am I'm not making any promises 😂12
