Bus journey is only fun if you are on the top deck. Single deckers are absolutely no pleasure at all.2

Bus trip was cheerful, lovely to go through some of the little villages and see over the hedges into people's gardens 😂 and I'd forgotten about the £3 bus far cap, so that was nice. It will actually go to my new office - I hadn't really considered a bus commute (because I hadn't realised there was one early enough in the morning, and because I'd still have to drive to the local town).
All the options are a bit rubbish though for my new office.
* drive into the city centre - £7.50 parking and I'll get stuck in traffic if I don't leave by 7am
* drive and park near friend's house - free, but it's a half hour walk each way
* drive 12 miles then train - train is only 15 mins, one an hour but also £7.50
* drive to train, cycle 12 (hilly) miles, then get the train back to car later
* drive to local town, get this bus, £3 each way, only 2 or 3 a day though
Or get a new job, or a new house, I guess 😂😂
In reality I'll likely do a combination of all these, and sometimes Mr C will come in with me and drop me off.
Right, off bus, have got car keys from Mr C (had a peek into his band practice - don't envy him in that dark sweaty room all day!), best set off!Drive to outskirts of work town where there is free parking, cycle in last few miles
As I don’t know the town I have no idea if this is feasible- perhaps not and that’s why it wasn’t on your list
Mine wasn't a double decker, but it was higher at the back and I did very much enjoy it 😊 Had a nice time with my friend too at the nature reserve, might find a picture later 😊5 -
Goodness me, I'm worn out today!
I did get up and do the parkrun though, then we took the gazebos back to the library of things, had a cuppa in a cafe, and notched about the charity shops for a bit. Bumped into some neighbours in the park, collected the other car from where I left it in town yesterday, made some veg soup in the hay box.
Since then I've been utterly worn out, and have spent the entire afternoon sitting on the sofa with my crochet, watching TV 😬 the weather's actually been quite nice but I just couldn't move. Not surprising really - last weekend was exhausting, then straight into 4 days of work/promotions form in the evenings, then yesterday was quite a long day with lots of travel time, so really, I was overdue a completely lazy one.
Mr C is out this evening. I have a vague feeling I 'should' do something, but in reality I don't think I will 😂 Perhaps the IPL machine (ditched the habit back in Feb with all the drama over Mr C snr - trying to get back into it because the bits that worked are nice and smooth 😂). Anyway, I only did one leg the other day so I need to do the other one 😂
Then I should really get my flute out for a bit, and a bath sounds tempting after this morning's run... but can I even be bothered doing that?! 🤔😂6 -
So, I've moved 😂😂 a bit 😂 nipped out to check on my seeds - only TWO seedlings after almost 4 weeks so I'm suspecting compost issues - my germination rates not usually that rubbish even with my shabby watering.
For the rest of the evening
* IPL til 9
* flute til 10
Then curling up on the sofa, don't think I can be bothered with a bath.
Tomorrow I need a plan! Mr Cheery's out all day and I do want to get some stuff done. So, in no particular order
GARDEN
* mow and strim grass
* sow replacement seeds 🙄
* shift some more hay
* bit of weeding
CRAFT
* make at least one set of curtains for the study (preferably two)
* bit more crochet
HOUSE
* quick tidy round
* hoover
OTHER
* bit of batch cooking
* bit of flute playing
* band practice late afternoon
* text friend to change plans next week
That'll do, I think! Hopefully I'll feel more lively and well-rested tomorrow4 -

Well clearly I didn't get all that list done, but I did have a nice relaxing day. A long leisurely bath, a bit of flute practice (and a rehearsal), a good tidy and hoover downstairs (still need to put the bedroom clothes pile away) and I made some more hay box soup. Didnt get anything done in the garden.
I'm working the bank holiday today, swapping it for Thursday so we can go away on Wednesday night 😊 As it's Bank Holiday I'm not even opening my emails - got a nice important reading task which, for once, is on paper, so I haven't even switched the computer on - instead I'm curled up on the day bed with a blanket and hot water bottle and a nice cup of tea 😊😊
Mr C is out tonight, so another list 😬
* mow grass
* strim
* YNAB/banks
* text friend
That's not unreasonable! Got a load of blankets in the washer (it's nicely blustery out there today!) And am mostly caught up with washing, but we're going away for the weekend and I want to take a couple of things i wore this weekend so I'll get another load in and dry throughout the day.5 -

Just caught up on your diary @Cheery_Daff after 'meeting' you properly on our Getting Things Done threads, and blimey, you've been an absolute star for Mr CD Sr! Hope he's settled now?
And well done for pursuing the Halfords and LPG issues, I was seething on your behalf!
And happy belated birthday, love the bunting on the washing line 😊5
