Thank you all xx
Gosh, it was SO good to wake up at home! 😃😃 Not in my own bed, as I'm in the spare room so we can both sleep properly while Mr C's back fixes itself and I'm going through a bout of snoring 🙄 But I quite often sleep in here anyway and I slept well, so all good!
And a nice lazy morning so far, but I do need to sit at my desk and face the email dragon very soon 🙈 I did work some of last Monday so I've only got four days worth of unchecked emails.
Already feeling nervous about going back to work. I really do have too darn much to do at the minute and could well have done without a week out! 🙄 Still, one day at a time, one week at a time, you can only do what you can do, right?
I've got one small thing that MUST be done today (which will take 5 mins, but the deadline is today), and I'm running a session this afternoon which is NOT prepared for, so that's my main priority.5 -

One of our cats bought in 3 rabbits in a half hour period last spring. 2am is not the time to be chasing rabbits around the bedroom…come to think of it, no time is for chasing rabbits round the bedroom.5

I need to remember that I shouldn't have a cup of coffee on the go at the same time as reading the forums or my keyboard will encounter 'splashback'. LOL4 -
Thanks Humdinger - no, I wouldn't recommend a coffee sinus treatment 😮😂
Yesterday went ok in the end. Got both the vital things done and made sure everything else was on my (now rather large) to do list. There's a LOT of small tasks that just need a bit of brain space which I haven't had recently (eg put two people in touch with each other, but I need to look up the name of both their projects - a five minute job but when you're as overwhelmed as I've been lately it seems impossible). Anyway, this week I'm going to focus on getting as many of them as possible done.
Currently my 'to do' spreadsheet has 45 things on - many in the 15 mins category - so let's see how many I can get it down to by the end of the day...
Not going to be a cheap parking day sadly. I don't have a permit, and I have to be on a different site at lunchtime, so if I park in a free spot (further away) I'm going to spend almost 2 hours of the day walking between places 🙄 So I'll be sucking up and paying. Hey ho!8 -
That’s a ‘quality of life’ parking payment! Spend the money for the sake of your physical and mental health! <wags finger in a motherly way at Cheery> 😊
Good luck with knocking the list back. It will make you feel better to have it back under control again. No possibility of delegating any of it?KKAs at 15.07.25:

Bit of a fiasco of a day. Didnt drag myself out of bed early enough, traffic was dreadful, and I got so stuck that I had to pull over and have an online meeting in the car down a side road 🙄 then I had to drive round for about half an hour before I found a parking space near the office, then I left too late and had to park in the most expensive place in town, and was going to just stay there for the afternoon but couldn't bring myself to pay for any more than 2 hours (£3 an hour!!) so left and went back to my own office (where I paid £2 for another 2 hours). Chased my tail all day 🙄
But I did get something beneficial done for someone else, so that's a good thing!
Had a nice cuppa with my friend before leaving - she's going through the mill a bit too at the minute so it was good to chat.
Mr C's back is still bad, he was in the bath again when I got home. I unloaded most of the second car (did most of the first one yesterday). Sorted all Mr C's clothes from the car, some had been there since the last DIY escapade 🙄 I've not washed them though - did a bedding wash instead as my sister is coming to stay in a couple of days.
So bedding wash is on the radiators, and the dehumidifier has been retrieved from the car and pressed into service with yesterday's washing which wasn't quite dry.
And that's the extent of today's activity. I'm still very tired, going to bed shortly.
Car is going to the garage again tomorrow (5th time lucky??) 😂 will at least save me paying for parking 😂😂
Then I'm going to spend the evening trying to get the finances back in order.
Slowly feel like we're assembling a bit of normal life again 🙄10
