  • Oh Cheery - I hope the lurgy boogers off for you and MrCheery.  Lurgy any time of the year is pants, but you've worked so hard this term, and need the time off to re-charge and enjoy yourself, not to buy shares in tissue manufacturers!  Hope the steam therapy worked and you're well enough to at least gather supplies to sustain you for several days.

    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £233,521
    - OPs to mortgage = £11,816 Interest saved £5,28 to date
    Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030

  • Wise decision to cancel the family get together, you do not want to be passing the lurgy on, nor does it sound like either of you were up to the travelling and socialising. Much better to rest and recover.
