Oh Cheery - I hope the lurgy boogers off for you and MrCheery. Lurgy any time of the year is pants, but you've worked so hard this term, and need the time off to re-charge and enjoy yourself, not to buy shares in tissue manufacturers! Hope the steam therapy worked and you're well enough to at least gather supplies to sustain you for several days.

Thank you all xxx
We are both on the mend, I think, thank goodness. We made the right call cancelling today's family trip though. Wouldn't want to be trapped in an warm living room with anyone right now, and neither of us were up for 5 or 6 hours in the car today 😬
Anyway, having had a grumpity and grouchy morning, we are getting back on an even keel. Mr C has been back to bed for a nap, and I lay around and watched Cold Comfort Farm (which I'd never seen) and put the lights on the Christmas tree 😊😊 This is the latest I've ever put the tree up, but neither of us have had the energy so far! I reckon we'll manage to festoon a few baubles tonight though 😊😊
No particular plans for tomorrow, thankfully. Will speak to family briefly on the phone, and we may or may not bother with a 'proper' Christmas Dinner. Mostly we will be lazing around and working our way through a box of tissues and a box of cold & flu tablets 🙄😂8 -
I’m glad you are both feeling a little bit better. A quiet one this year then. Hope you enjoy it in spite of being rather lurgy-laden.

Wise decision to cancel the family get together, you do not want to be passing the lurgy on, nor does it sound like either of you were up to the travelling and socialising. Much better to rest and recover.
Wishing you both a speedy recovery and a relaxing Christmas.
