Glad you enjoyed the concert and well done for knocking over the work task. It will be interesting to see if the shard working space makes that much difference to your concentration levels 😊

Glad it's not just me @Baileys_Babe!
Co-working space is lovely 😍 But not very much co-working as I'm the only person booked in 😂 Does mean I've paid £12 and got a large and beautiful office to myself though 😂
A bizarre thing - remember that dream I had the other day? The beautifully tiled floor in my dream kitchen is here!! With white stars rather than glittery silver ones, but otherwise identical.
How very strange. I mean, it's not a unique pattern but even so. I'd not booked this when I had the dream, and it's not on the website anyway so I couldn't have seen it there. How odd!15 -
That's very odd Cheery. Hopefully it means that the co-working space will feel as comfortable as being in your own kitchen (but warmer, with fewer distractions ... once you've got over the flooring!)6

I love a good bit of premonition! ...and what a lovely floor...
Another instance that proves time is not linear but our brains are ❤
(Yes, I have far too much science fiction in my life)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!7 -
Hope the rest of that dream (about my driveway collapsing into the sea) doesn't also come true! 😱😂
On a less than cheerful note, had an email from the tyre peoplegood afternoonI would like to thank you for assisting the colleague who got stuck in the grass while fitting your tyres on the 19th,i believe the contact Centre offered 10% discount on your order as a gesture of goodwill and you have refused this as it was not enough.Unfortunately we would not give anything more than the offer of 10% as this is a gesture of goodwill and if the farmer requests a payment for the pulling out of the vehicle please ask him to send over an invoice and we can look into this for him.Hope you have a merry Christmas
🙄
Farmer won't bother to invoice, he's too nice and has enough on his plate. Can I be bothered to get a quote for fixing the lawn? Might have to settle for a grumpy social media post 🙄6 -
Bah Humbug! Cheery - they are silly. They will lose far more than 10% from a) you not using them again b) the 470 gazinty million readers of your cheerfulness not choosing to use them and c) from anyone in the greater Cheerfulness area that hears about how daft their technicians are when out and about in the wild (and lets face it, folks will get to hear.....). They know your farmer neighbour hasn't got time to be writing up invoices and they'd only argue the toss over it anyway, if he sought £5 or £500.
Bad PR doesn't pay in the long-term......... silly, silly tyre fitting company.

Indeed. For the avoidance of doubt, this is the Tyres on the Drive service from Halfords 😂 I've used them several times, the actual tyre service itself has mostly been fine (they did have to re-fit after the very first time because they'd fitted them wrong but fine since then). I understand mistakes happen (although it's quite ridiculous to have a tyre fitter reverse a large heavy van onto wet grass anywhere, let alone someone's actual lawn!) But this lack of proper apology and offering £18 is downright rude.8

Never been that impressed by Halfords, especially since I had to fit a headlight bulb myself because they couldn't fit it as there wasn't much space. This was a ford & not an old banger either. I cannot believe how incompetent I now feel after I used to service my own cars well over 50 years ago. Thats oil & filter & brakes too.

I have been getting them to fit headlight bulbs and never had an issue with the garage service,thankfully.
More nonsense today - the local tip is bringing in a registration policy. Which is fine theoretically- except it's just dawned on me that we're not in that council area 😂 I mean, I KNOW that of course, but it's by far the closest tip, and it looks like we now can't use it 🙄
Hey ho - I suspect I'm exactly the sort of out-of-area miscreant they're trying to prevent! 🙄
Done at the co-working space 😊 I think I'm going to go food shopping on the way home - we ran out of cheese yesterday which isn't an acceptable state of affairs at all! 😮
Plan for this evening (Mr C is out)
* food shop & put away
* check presentation for tomorrow's conference
* bit of batch cooking for Wed/Thurs at least
* workout.
* bit of flute playing
* IPL machine
* blog post
Then an early night - I have to be on a train before 7am tomorrow 😱7
