Oh dear Cheery!
That exchange sounds much like the OH and myself almost every Saturday morning about something or the other.

I get that the sofa bed needed taking in and out of the house to get it to the right place (we have narrow sections like that here) but why is it on its end ….? 🤔
Hoping all backs, wrists and fingers have survived unscathed.

Because it was just too heavy to lift over the muddy grass! We were sliding it along the floor inside, but couldn't do that outside - it was actually easier to 'walk' it, corner to corner, moving the boards each time we got to the end of one. Used one of the boards to slide it up the steps. Worked surprisingly well!8

Well, we are delighted with our new living room! 😃 It was SO lovely having a cosy sociable space in there so several people, and I have a new favourite spot in a corner of the sofa bed - I can see out of two windows and it's right next to the radiator 😂
Obviously my study ended up a conplete tip 🙄 That's sorted now, but it's very bare with no sofa in, and it's exposed a nice bit of mould on that wall too 🙄 We're going to invest in a proper comfy double sofa bed for that room, but not today.
Had a lovely time with visitors 😊😊 One of them is hopefully going to do some work for us, various things I've not got round to yet (windowsills!! Skirting boards!!) Plus sorting out the guttering on the back of the living room to hopefully get rid of the damp issue. Very pleased about this. He could do with the cash, and I am very ready to part with some cash to have those things DONE (but not ready enough to open my home to a random trader again). So hopefully that'll work out well.
Very tired today though. Whole weekend was either sorting, moving furniture and cleaning, or socialising and cooking and washing up. Could do with a day off!
Band practice last night - first time with new dentures 🙄 It'll be fine after a while, but it was taking a bit of getting used to last night. Going to get in some regular practice to get used to it.
So, a plan for tonight, since Mr Cheery is out and the house is pretty tidy.
* exercise
* plan food for week
* bit of batch cooking/prep for next couple of days
* good wodge of flute practice
* blog post
* IPL machine
That'll do i think7 -
Hooray to a friend with time and skills in need of cash! That sounds like an excellent arrangement Cheery! And your weekend sounds lovely (if busy) too.

ooo - if only you were closer, I'd put my name on the list for use of your handy friend! I have several small jobs that need doing that OH has just not got round to for this reason or that & I'd happily pay to have them done (but also not a fan of random traders!)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! WINDOWSILLS!!! 🎉🤩🥳❤️😊
(and no, I have no idea why I am soooo invested in your windowsills … 😉).
Yes, having a friend in your house who will work in a predictable way will be far better than having a random tradesperson in.Sounds like the weekend was hectic but you got a new space out of it, in your living room 😊❤️KKAs at 15.08.25:
