Indeed - it just wasted my time, as well as that of the receptionist, the admin person at the hospital, and the postal service! Hey ho.

Ha, yes, we have had the luxury of plenty of book space over the years, and have certainly made good use of it! Bizarrely it feels like we have less space in this house - mostly because we removed a giant book case 😂 We will build extra shelves, but we don't need to house quite so many books as we have been doing... Mr Cheery's got some really old and interesting ones, I've got some useful reference ones and others I read over and over, but we don't need an endless supply of charity shop paperbacks, cook books, or multiples of things like gardening or DIY books that turn out to be much the same. Hopefully someone browsing in the charity shop will find a few treasures though 😊

We'll be tackling clothes next, I think 😱 So I shall be getting my Vinted hat on. There is a LOT of scope for making space. Our charity shop enthusiasm has extended to clothes over the years, and I am still valiantly holding onto stuff I've not been able to fit into for many years 🙄 Mr Cheery has a LOT more than me. We are going to be rattling around after this, but hopefully it'll all make doing and finding things much easier!

Have they suggested implants.  I don't have enough jawbone for them but although they are expensive they could be easier to deal with.

eBay has now apparently gone feeling free for second hand clothes. Worth considering.

They're theoretically a possibility, but I'd need three, and am not in a position to pay that much cash right now, and don't want to borrow to pay for it,  so not an option at the minute. The denture would be a first step in any case, so I can make that decision later either way. But the denture is already made and waiting with the dentist - they just can't fit it until I've had the tooth (and attached bridge) removed at the hospital,  because all 3 roots are infected and one is sticking up into the sinus and may need stitches 🙄 then it'll be straight to the normal dentist to do the filling on the other side, which will dislodge the other bridge - at which point I'll have all three missing teeth and they'll finally be able to fit the denture! What a palaver.

Working at home tomorrow so have booked to go swimming first thing to use my £10 monthly fee.  

Meant to say went out for a drink with some colleagues after an event,  very cheerful and joined by Mr Cheery later.  Spent about £16 between us. Don't do that very often so it was nice  😊

I guess Vinted has got to them - very useful - I still have to start my Vinted journey

Ouch on the teeth stuff . I paid to have an implant using the special drills as my jawbone gap was small - but  so worth it despite the ouch cost

Thanks both xx I'm grateful it doesn't hurt all the time, just sore to eat on it. So it could be an awful lot worse! (I hope things would move more quickly if I was in agony...)

Funny old day today. I went swimming first thing - and realised as I was in my cossie and putting things in a locker that I'd forgotten to take a towel 🙄😂 Decided to swim anyway, and had to dry myself off with a (fortunately clean, and surprisingly effective) sock 😂😂

Work was uneventful, but a couple of cheerful things happened, but Mr Cheery's had an exciting day - he's been asked to join a new (well, new to him) band. Not unusual, he's in about 7 😂 But this one is more active than the others, lots of bookings already, even up to the end of 2025 😱 So this will have him touring round the country, a few times a month, and will be a reasonable boost to income as well. So we have been out to the pub to celebrate 😊 

I'm off tomorrow, so need a plan, but I think I'm going to come back with it in the morning. The weather will be nice, so a decent amount of garden time - my next job is to clear out the greenhouse. I'm actually not planning to plant any veg this year, so I just want it cleared and cleaned out to be a nice place to sit 😂 I build myself a little bench seat in there last year to look at the view, might even make a cushion for it 😂 Also need to replace a couple of panes, and figure out the pesky water collection system - the water butt works fine off one side, but the other side has a big industrial bulk container which isn't quite low enough to easily collect water. I think I need to drill a hole in the side of it. Been pondering for a couple of years now though so no rush 😂

Other than that, some financial admin, so more getting rid of stuff, bit of batch cooking, bit of exercise, bit of flute practice, maybe a cafe trip 😊

Ha, it's more of a glass shed vibe 😂 It's currently full of weeds and broken pots and cobwebs, with a stiff breeze blowing through and grime covering most of the glass. Not exactly glamorous, but it does have a nice view and is a good place to sit with a cuppa to read a book when it's raining (or even to work for a bit! 😂)
