Hi all, Didint realise that you get extra bts sea - what am I to expect! I am the same on there as here! Disasterous day diet wise as I had a long tme out with the farm shop which is accross town & then over to the allotment & Mr T on the way home & then a local brewing shop for a wine kit as decided to try & make wine & see what its like - its half the price of shop bought once you've got the kit & there was spare money in the budget so decided to make the investment! Farm shop was expensive but worth it I think. Not the best time to get principles possibly but feel its the right thing to do as wouldnt be able to get the imagie of sqashed, featherless suffering chickens out of my mind and I do feel strongly about it. The had the dilemma in tesco about what sandwich to eat as it was all probably cheap meat etc so just got a sorrel loaf ate it all as famished by then! Just put another coat of bright pink paint on my bosses pig and hope the next layer does it as its the last of the paint! Bread to make (last nights didnt rise
) and a snooze to be had...feeling in need of it! Thought dancing on ice tonight buts its tomorrow so am cross! Was looking forward to it but may start my tapestry! Tomorrow is a home day (unless weather is fine in which case I'll go to the plot) and tidying. Thankfully no ironing! Pleased to report that I weighed myself today & lost 3 ibs!! Yahoo! Stil no drinking & wine takes 2 months so safe there! Smoking is another matter but I MUST wean myself off. I got the nicoteine lozenges from the GP bagpuss...free prescriptions in Wales!!

"Book toast and homemade marmalade" sounds like heaven to me honeybun! Just add a cat curled up contentedly nearby and it doesn't get any better than that. (well... unless Michael Buble's there in bed with me too!
)
I keep forgetting what I've talked about on here and what I haven't. (I tend to assume I've talked about everything that's happening cos I'm here so much!)
My 93 year old grandmother had a stroke a couple of weeks before Christmas and initially seemed ok after they'd checked her out, but ended up being carted off to hospital.
The other grandmother (who's also 93) has been more or less confined to barracks with a leg injury, and is probably getting less attention than she should because of all the flap about the other granny in hospital.
But anyway...
It's hubby's birthday today so we're having an Indian tonight with wine left over from the Christmas hamper, and a dvd my son gave his dad for christmas. We could go out, but we're just as happy cuddled up on the sofa really.
I think hubby would like a more exciting life than we're having at the moment but I can't say I mind being a homebody.
I got a new motivation for being debt free today as well... Hubby mentioned that he'd like to "go away somewhere warm" for his 50th birthday next year. He's 50 in January 2009, and I'm 40 in June 2009 so it's going to be a big year!
(Aren't you a 1969 baby too honeybun? )
Well done on the 3lb! I might have a nose at RC and see if it appeals to me. I did India nd Neris's diet but after 3 weeks I was desperate for fruit - and haven't eaten oily fish since!
Speak soon honey,

Aww hugs for you Jacks & sorry to hear about both granny's
awful to see idependant women strugling to cope & I had the same with my granny which was absolutey heartbreaking.
I have India & erys book but its a bit faddy or me - would rather be healthy normal afer 6 months on lighterlife! The wine is now bubbling in the cupboard and bread in the oven. A friend rang to ask me if I want to go to church tomorrow - I used to go but havent been for years and have missed it so going to just go for it. Its quite nerve racking though having not been or so long! Found out that one of my neighbors at the alotment is moving plot (something I said?!!) which is a bit gutting. They wont be far away but not withn shouting distance..Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hello......I cancelled RC online and got a full refund. I complained that their website was crap and didn't do what I wanted to do. For example, I wanted to put that I had eaten 2 weetabix in my "diary" but it asked me how many grams they were, to work out the calories.....I didn't want to weigh the things, just wanted to put 2 weetabix!! Similarly, I had a kiwi fruit, and it expected me to weigh it!! Surely a kiwi is a kiwi!!
So, when the money goes back on my card, I will be buying the book - am still trying to be good though, so am with you in spirit, just not online!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I've found that - I've also emailed many times about inaccuracies on the site - a shame. But I do still use the food diaries so don't think I'll cancel although if it continues to be so bad after the new site launch I don't think I'll continue!
Instead I might spend the £10 a month on a RC mag subs and get the DVD with Coleen for free with it - £19.99 for the year and DVD for free.
Still plodding on with very little food. And a rather embarrassing problem that I think must be my body detoxing!!

I'm going to try the At home one instead I think. Either that or its back to Weight watchers for me.
Whatever I do, the good thing is that I have started, so the focus has been made, which is what I needed. Actually somewhere I have an old "hip and thigh diet" book - and many of the recipies online were rather familiar - might go up in the loft and have a look. That would be the most DFW thing to do!!
Here's to looking slim and lovely for summer - I had vegetable curry for dinner tonight so know what you mean, Sea, about the "detox":rotfl:

Hey ISOM!! Well done on the fabby weight loss - that is loads especially considering you've said you've not been following it properly!
Am going to buy the album for the CJ today - got a few nights I can do it next week.
Hope all is good.
The portion pots should be coming through the post soon with a measuring tape and a few other little bits I think.
Hypno - you can order the pots for only £2.50 from the site if you use the code 'pots' and the book does give all the details about them - they do actually look quite useful and avoid weighing everything, which does lead to a bit too obsessional stuff for me.
