big hugs for feeling parp sweetie. Keep an eye on manu for abcesses just incase she has a small wound you can't see. I like the book talk to. I found it quite hard to get into the kite runner and finished it about half way though the first time and 3/4 of the way through the second time.
Really interested in alot of the books mentioned here but the waterstones website generally doesn't have synopses which is a PITA...
Hope you feel better soon hon, around all day tomorrow apart from a couple of hours 1230-1500 if you fancy a natter and aren't at work. xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -

Afternoon all...well spent the day in bed minus a visit to the GP & sains to get script...apparently I have another virus so thats 3 since Christmas so suspect that I will now be referred to occupational health....Have seen GP each time so not sure what they can suggest! GP said giving up somking will prob help as I have a respiratory tract infection (sore throat!) & coughing up loads of green stuff...an alarming amount so if thats doesent dimisnish then I have to go back & send a sample off. Ribs are agony where I coughed all night - to the point I was nearly sick...all in all feeling very sorry for myself
Doubtful that I'll get my visit done tomrrow & had to cancel today as just feel too rough. GP agreed with my assessment that I should go home to bed! Also have a nice spray for my throat as its agony but numbs it for a while...sorry moan over!
HUge difference in Sains shop of £33!! Much more than I usually spend at tesco although that did include lemsips - thankfully presciptions are free and got some more lozenges while there & told to see a different nurse which I will do...
Cat is ok and quite happy...still havent let her out & am nervous to as can see the dog lying in the garden...P do they generally learn the lesson or would she be at risk again if I let her out? Cant see its fair that shes in forever but do now feel quite nervous about it....
Hw are pepys doing with books? Must also get a retsart on piggies!! Had a bit of a break! Did generally quite well this month & want to have another month of being good because it felt great to get to the end of the month feeling solvent, even if it did go a bit pear shaped due to the insurance!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! hi sweetie sorry to hear you are still sounding yuk and eew to green stuff!!
Re butch and tom, (harks back to good ol days of tom and jerry status, have you spoken with the owner at all regarding the other days events?i think you are right to be cautious as manu sometime may be in the bushes and the owner lets the dog out. I honestly think the owner needs to relaise the severity of what has happened. not the dogs fault as the dog recognised manu as a toy and lets face it he hasn't been taught not to. Chances are he has a big teddy bear toy somewhere indoors that the owner and kids "rag him" with. he was just doing the same and indulging in a game with poor manu. A basket muzzle would definately remedy the situation until remedial training can be done but sadly hon, thats down to the owner.
Until now can you get some "prickly strips" from b+q? the likes that you can get to deter burglars climbing over? put those all around the tops of your fence and they may, just may stop manu from jumping out of the garden.xxxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Hi ISOM, just popping on to say hope you feel better soon. I have also read most of your list and have just started on Flora thompson lark rise to candleford trilogy, just had to after the wonderful BBC series. The- Macarthy's bar, is a brill read.
I can sympathise with feeling crap.I am on my third course of antibiotics after another night in agony, turns out that my kidney infection is probably a kidney stone, so am off for an x ray tomorrow to see! At least if they find out i will feel better as i just keep jollying myself along, thinking after tomorrow i will go back to GP, etc..
Bob xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Aww ISOM, sorry to hear you're not well, look after yourself.
Slow progress with the reading here at the mo, but should get some time over the weekend. Heard on the news this morning that Sebastian Faulkes is doing a James Bond book to tie in with the anniversary thing this year (100 years since Ian Fleming's birth, something like that?) - could be interesting!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
