Thanks all. Had a sleep & feel better for it...watching come dine with me! Bizarre mix and I wish that they would do new ones! Jacks if youre lurking there is a new on 8pm Thurs night! Will have to tape it as will be babysitting & would hate to miss it! Its the one with that AWFUL woman who let a guest wait outside in the cold until dot on 6.30 - ugly woman inside & out....
Great that OH doing a home allotment JB - get him to put his name down as the lists do come down quickly sometimes! I love mine, esp as I dont have a garden. Back can def feel the digging today though...agony!
I have a day off tomorrow & my "gym woman" is coming for lunch. She's lovey & has just moved jobs & is now based literally round the corner so shes coming for a natter & food - pasta and bacon me thinks!
Sorry to hear of your crash in Cardiff wendy! Its a beautiful place really although there ARE speed cameras everywhere and you could easily loose all your points if youre a boy racer!! Enjoy brean sands! My mum used to clean the chalets at pontins!! Hope the caravan is heated?!! How long are you gone for?!

I've put my name down on the list for an allotment but i'm not sure how long the waiting list is, and haven't had an acknowledgement of my letter either.
Sea my neighbour signed for the CJ, and brought it down at tea time yesterday, i've not been online much this weekend, as if i turn on the machine i don't do housework and i really needed to do some of the latter.
The place is much better, except for the bedroom which is a total mess, it's the worst room in the flat and must be finished by Friday tea.

Morning all! Nice day off here...feeling less groggy than I did yesterday but still struggling wth motivation! Its also snowing which makes me want to stay in my nice warm flat! Nice brekkie in bed & then read for a bt but now muct do housework as someone coming for lunch! Flat is never spotless (Impossible with 3 cats!!) but I like it less tipish than it is now! Think I'll do pasta & bacon for lunch and the diet starts today so dont want to !!!! it up before I begin! Its book group tonight so may have a snooze this pm! Know what you mean about switching the comp on LT - I do & then get nowt done!

PS LT I would chase the allotment people up!! Sometimes that can be a bot forgetful & a gentle reminder can assist in memory jogging!! Its great excercise BTW!! Can do more in an hours lugging & digging as you would in an aerobics class!!

Hey ISOM - hope you have a nice day. I've nearly finished my CJ - just need to work out how to write in my quotes On a roll at the moment - even finished a DLO of the wedding album!! Shock! Also had loads more ideas for CJ themes, couldn't think of any when we started this one, and now have lots! Just need to get to the PO on time!! Glad it arrived LT - not my best LO, but the one I'm doing now is fabby!

Yesterday (after I got over my excitement at the snow) I dug out all of those free bags and make up bags etc that you get with kits from La Redoute, Boots and QVC etc and then took pics of my daughter modelling them for me so that I can put them on eBay and hopefully earn some dosh.

We had a good laugh, and hopefully it will make my listings stand out.

We're going to take some more pics later, but so far today we've just been lounging about. I have a few eBay parcels that need packing and posting today so it's time I got off my bottom! (packing's my least favourite bit of eBay)

Nom Nom Nom to the pasta and bacon honey - suddenly I feel really hungry!

hello jacks! Well done re ebaying! Most of my stuff is now down to car boot & thats it...a zillion books and not much else to declutter other than my knick knacks which arent going cos theyre mine (& no thats not a secret code for sommat dodgy!)...
Friend came for lunch and have just finished bawling my eyes out finishing kite runner...seriously with that & a thousand splendid suns I feel emotionally exhausted! Both excellent & beautifully written and I may write to him to thank him - he clearly is a gifted writer and really brings characters to life...
On that note going to have a snooze before book club - was so teary at the end of the book had to resort to a comforting hot chocolate!!
Oh yes BBC...I did find out on Friday but coudnt say as hadnt managed to get hold of mum until yesterday. We didnt get on for the May show but they may put us on for June and will know end of may...apparently theytry & pair you with likeminded people and umm...there werent any like us!! No reat surprise there! Its dissapointing though & quite hard not to take it personally...

I'm going to be down to books and not much else soon. I might have to actually get my head round matched betting finally!

My daughter has gone down the town to get her friend a birthday present, and I'm s'posed to be packing eBay but the printer is being a sod so I'm having to write out everyone's addresses by hand and it's taking A-A-A-A-GES - so I'm taking a break!

I got offered another job on saturday, helping out in a pub restaurant on busy weekends & bank holidays etc. I might do it if I can find a way to fit it in. I expect it'll depend very much on when they need me and if it slots in or clashes!

I want to read thousand spendid suns and kiterunner. My daughter and I have a library visit scheduled this week, and I'll see if I can find them.

Wanna see a pic of my daughter modelling my bags and stuff? It's enormous cos I haven't quite got the hang of photobucket yet!

o lovely jacks! She's gorgeous too - you must be soo proud! Lock up your daughter lol!! Bag is yummy - is it on ebay?!! You may have to reserve the books as A thousand splendid suns is no 1 I think...kite runner not far after. I've read thousands of books over the ages but ATTS will stay with me for a long time...incredible how a book, with fictional characters, can do that! Good luck with the job but dont overdo it - youve had an awful lot to cope with of late...even if your DFD is a bit later...look after yourself All ready for book group! Decided on my book which will be "as it is in heaven" in June I think...have read next months & now on Rebecca which I started but never finished! Probably because, as previously, I find the main character irritating!! Will try & finish though!! Possibly one for audio book JB!!
