ISOM you are not being unreasonable at all re the neighbour. It is a shame that she hasn't got the message yet, and I don't know what you can do to hammer it home to her.

    Stay strong hun x

  • isom ~ thanks :j just ordered my book for it. I dont have these gadgets that you can make them with so it came to £10.79 but with postage and a few papers and punch and an ink pad i dont think thats too bad :)

Yes i am well up for a pass rather than post :) it doesnt have to be starbucks/costa we could slum it in macdonalds or asda for a 90p tea :rotfl:
  • Thanks all, I just feel upset because I feel she isnt respecting, or listening, to whats said & seems to think I'm made of money! Did a wee calcuation on outgoings and boy was that depressing! Must do better next year & think the fan heaters are going to be unplugged & put away as I seem not able to just not use them! Am quite hot/cold at the moment though so its quite useul & I do like the whirring nose as I go to sleep!! Not enough to justify my leccy bill though & this is a definate MUST cut down area! That and the Mr T bill so have signed up for grocery challenge...Determined to get more paid off this year as feel I was not as good as I could have been this year so am disappointed with myself. Have done better than ever before but still a way to go. I am hating the restrictions that being in debt brings and its frustrating as I worked hard to earn a good wage (6 years full time study for one!) and its SO annoying that I cant enjoy it as I should, had I not got into debt...onwards & upwards debt busters! My savings pig and one for mum are drying but the layers take a while dont they eh! Have resorted to watered down UPV glue as I cant stand the smell of the flour one! I gt a huge bottle a while ago so not wasted as such! I sence a glitter bonanza coming on! One advantage of having so much craft stuff is that its all here - although I did have to buy the balloons!

  • End of a long day, mostly on here. I talked to my mum about doing vol work but today has confirmed that this for now needs to be helping people on here. When I have more time perhaps I'll venure into the real world more but hope for now that this does make a difference. My job gives me knowledge that others dont necc have access to so will use that for now.
Still feeling upset about the neighbor thing. Will try to let it go but when youve done so much to help someone & they just want more its hard to take & more than a little hurtful when they do.
Feeling positive about 2008 though and end the year happy, although wish I had booked the day off tomorrow! Still feeling coldy so am off for an early night in readiness for the day ahead. Night all & thanks to the supporters & faithful. This site has been life changing for me...

  • Well another year gone by & I definately am getting old cos they're going faster! Goals for this year as to (1) Pay off 8000 at least (2) Get back to a size 14 (3) Get regular excercise - runnng & swimming (4) Grow yummy veg on allotment (5) Have some fun!!! Thats pretty much it!
Today will be spent getting the tree down, hoovering, putting stuff away & chucking rubbish out (old paint cans) to clear some junk cupboard space to make room for jam & marmalade that I will make later! Off to "do" or I'l st here all day - back in a bit! Happy new year all - gonna be a great one for us all - I feel it!

    Happy New Year ISOM.

Please stop stewing over your neighbour she's being really unreasonable to keep asking you for money, she should be able to see you struggling and respect your requests not to ask for a loan.
A few years ago i was in the opposite role, someone kept offering to lend me money as they didn't want to go places on their own and i had to find ways to say no without offending. She couldn't understand that if i took the money it meant i was worse of the following month as i would pay her back first.

I'm off to my sisters for lunch and the afternoon may even try and get started on the CJ. I've also got some seeds to put in pots, i would love an allotment but have no idea how to find out about getting one in this town, i know there are some somewhere but they aren't council run. How did you find out about yours? Bet they're a load of work. Maybe i'll just practice a load more on my mini veggie patch in my front garden.
I'm pretty chuffed today, when i did my Jan accounts my debt total has dropped below the 40k mark. Like yours mine is all front loaded loans which i can't overpay (not that i can afford to at the moment with the wedding savigns) but i'm planning on trying as much as i can. i really want to clear it before my official snowball date.
Hope you haven't gone to sleep. lol
  • Thanks girls! This is going to be a fab year - I just feel inspired to really crack it! Feel I've been playing at it a bit up to now. Not going to turn into a saint but will be better than before IYKWIM! Having great fun chucking out today but sad to see the tip isnt open. Would usually ask my neighbor but really dont want to speak to her. Sea she wont ask me again I'm sure as I was openly cross & hurt with her this time...have decided that I'll leave it to her to make the first move - feel I've made all the effort I'm going to & end up feeling quite used TBH!...off for next bit of tidying! Tree is down (not LT!!) and mags to chuck...thus prooving that I really shouldnt buy them! Need to ckeck them for couchers first though! Last day of fan today and am going to clear a space for it in the cupboard! :(

I;'ve been thinking about the Cj today too :) I think I might have to buy a small album though as then it should make it a little easier - any suggestions? had a look on my 2 fav scrapbooking sites, but no help really. I am going to use some of my dad's bday money for it :)
