aww thanks all for your lovely encouraging messages! Had a lovely day with mum. Popped into town to try & get watch strap and mum got some new clothes. Then went for a yummy massage & just home. Had a nice lunch at old orleans and all in all not a hugely expensive day (all within budget) and I didnt spend much. Got to go & pick watch up tomorrow but other than that a nice quiet weekend planned! Mum going home tomorrow so will have a clean and tidy & then prepare for work on Monday - blah!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Thanks PAP! Woken up & both mum & I have the start of a cold grrr!! Just getting organised & she's off home, dropping me into town on the way thus saving me £1.60 bus fare!! Picking watch up and getting bits from boots and the market & may have a look & see if I can get cheapie coat/jeans/jumper in the sale - all need rather than wants. Problem with loosing so much weight was that I have capsule wardrobes and as they were mostly cheap are not lasting as I would have liked...not sure that £12 jeans etc are a good idea!!
Then home and bikini line wax this afternoon! Fun! Its funny how noone sees it or my toe nails but I feel scruffy lol!! Time also to take the echinacia. Bad news is that I washed my mums mobile! No matter how many times i tell her I cant hear her from another room she never listens so I didnt hear her telling me to check the pockets! Apparently its normal to have a mobile in a pocket of your dressing gown? Anyone else - mines always in my bag!! Anyway, she's been very good about it but I do feel bad....OK off I go, the native is restless & I need to have a bath so she can leave!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! BAck from town feeling more than cack...I only had flu a couple of weeks ago & now have a proper cold. Thankfully a few days to chil before work but its annoying but does confirm my resolution to stop eating rubbish & start being healthier again. Never thought I'd say it but I miss my regular fruit & veg! Will never miss wine but ho hum - cant have a small bum & excess wine consumption so there it is! Got a lovely size 18 pair of jeans fron Next - a bit loose but for £15 the gorgeous leather belt it came with was worth it! The got lots of drugs for my cold & some st Johns wort - very annoyed with healthspan as they were very slow to deliver my rder via quidco & didnt include it so I had to get more at boots. Did use pretty much all of my points though but £30 gets to stay in my account.
We really did have a very specal Christmas, despite the boiler. Spent time with people I love, relaxed, mum enjoyed her book & we had a good chat about the fact that I felt let down earlier in the year and she took that on board and I listened to the fact that she finds it so hard me being in debt, esp when I am trying to pay it all off. Both of us find these discussions hard but its important to talk things through. We also talked lots about favorite things, values etc so felt alot closer by the end of the hols (although we have always been v close) which meant a v. special time for both of us.
It was also a blessing to be able to make a difference to my neighbor who is poorly. They enjoyed the meal but I am worried about her as she keeps falling & is in alot of pain...Also fab to spend time with my girls! Gorgeous creatures they both are! Off to chill & watch the end of this film before the waxing! Cant wait! Am hoping there is something rubbish on TV tonight & a face pack is in order & nails require a new coat of polish!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! sorry you are suffering with a cold, i had one and it took me forever to shift, i had a cough for ages after. hope you are feeling better soon and that all the medicines you bought do some good. I admire you for being able to talk to your mum like that, theres no way i would be able to tell my mum about the debts. I dont think she will ever know about it.
do you know the one thing i really miss since my LBM is going to the beautitions for waxing and various other pampering treatments. home waxing just isnt the same, neither is a home manicure. hopefull you are better at it than i am.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Thanks both. Just back from being waxed....owww!! Home manicures aret the same are they eh! I did decide yesterday that I need to have a massage a month - not for vanity but because I have a really bad back and not having a massage for 3 months was NOT a good idea and would partly explain why I've been in so much pain lately. I'll never go back to what I was like befire (treatments ALL the time!) but massages are a essential...shame I cant justify facials on the same vein as I miss em most of all and havent had one for over a year!
DId a LIDL shop on the way home & spent under £5 which is FAB! Never manage that at tesco! Sausages & pots cooking as I type. Bath running and mum just rang to say that shes home safe & to thak me for such a lovely Christmas...she's missing me!! Watching Isabelle on come dine with me - what an awful woman! Hisss if you're reading! They should have named & shamed her there & then if you ask me as it didnt go with the spirit of the programme. Nasty. Anyway on that wee rant am off to have a bath & push my cuticles back!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0
