• Well doe my maths & am doing ok but depressingly my CC's are higher than when I had my LBM so need to crack these - the debt has gone down mainly due to loan repayments but thats just a bit depressing isnt it eh!! I did get them down to virtually nothing and then went whoooo and spent again! Hopeless! Whats done is done though and I just need to crack on. Plan this month is to pay o/d off (78), JPL & MBNA both in full and 10 more than mins on the rest. I'll get there but it is going to take time and I just have to be patient, which as you may have noted I'm not very good at!! I may go to the gym for a go on the treadmill & have decided that the wine I made (after a taste to see if its bogging!!) is going down the drain. Old habits (wine & fags) must go & both are annoying me! I felt so much healthier when I didnt drink or smoke so my body will again become a temple!!

• What do you mean, "losing the plot"? Fayed lost it many years ago, I think!
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
• I agree but it was so obvious on the news last night when he was berating the journalist!!

Well I'm back from the allotment & cleaning the car (inside & out!) plus having a look at the accounts to see where I went wrong.

Its obvious really but good to see where it is! Basically the diet I did (lighterlife) cost me £1600 to do and then loads of clothes (new wardrobes between size 22/24 & 12!) so all in all VERY costly! DO I regret it? Not one iota!! Yes, it means that I am behind debt wise but I am still 2 stone 4 ibs down from when I started, I know I dont want to be a size 12 & am so much happier than I was this time last year. There is still work to do and the temptation is to do another couple of months to shift it again but I will resist the urge & do it "normally" by diet & excercise. Slower but more effective!

Have finally got an answer re the stitches & running & shouldnet even try for another week and a half, then I can try & my body will tell me fairly sharpish if I've overdone it & I need to go gently (no worries there!!)! Meanwhile will stick to cross trainer & should be able to swim from next week hopefully! Still no news on my watch which is hugely annoying as I've chased them up & they havent emailed! Diet wise will just crack down on rubbish & stop drinking so much alch which also leads to the munchies (yes I know I've been saying it for weeks but this time I mean it!)!
Money wise will just keep plugging away at it - nowt else I can do really eh!! I do need to investgate though what protection I get with internet shopping & my maestro card as one area is that when I do internet shopping I always use my cc because it offers fraud protection that I dont think you get with maestro but will check later when I ring the bank - after 6 is cheaper!!

Looking back on the old figs though I am so much more financially savvy than I was before - all balances are low lob or 0% which is great compared to the 19% etc that I had at the start plus I spend much less generally each month than I did then! May try again with spending diary this month as it does help "focus" the mind. Will also take 150 cash out for groceries (leaving some of it here!) on payday & try not to go over. I did debate cashing in the pig to pay money off cards but am undecided on that - I like the fact that the pot is growing and the momentum would be diminished if I broke into it but then I also think its silly to have money sitting there when I could be paying interest! There's a fair amount in there....umm will think on that one! What do people think? Psychologically it will be a boost to at least be level to when I started IYKWIM but it wont be the same once hes been invaded!!

Anyway...sorry, waffling/thinking out loud but it is my diary!!

HI hon, gosh that was a long post, not rambling at all so don't worry!!!

Great news on the weight loss, (please don't shoot me) personally I think classes can be a waste sometimes but I understand that some people need the structure of a weekly class to stick to the regime f a diet shall we say. fab news if you feel able to go it alone now, certainly more cost effective that way!

SOrry to hear about the stitches but id fab news that you can atleast do something while you're waiting. I know the frustrating feeling, to be able to do something and not want to is a completely different feeling to wanting to do something and not being able to... IYSWIM:rolleyes: I can't believe that Garmin are still being a PITA, think trading standards should be your next e-mail on that one hon! :o

Good luck with the diet and anti alch/ciggies kick.. Just think why you are doing it, but don't tip the vino away, I'm sure you have many friends that would be grateful of it... (If not the wino under the bridge by the river would relieve you of it i'm sure:rotfl: :rotfl: )

Welldone on realising that financial savviness abounds nowadays, isn't it satisfying to look back on a year ago and see how far you have come since then.. Good for you!! I'm with you on the spending diary though have always struggled to keep hold of it but i know just how useful they can be.. So as of payday monday diary a go go!!!:D

And is piggy "whang"? If so DON'T DO IT!!!! Imagine how you will feel in december when everyone is opening their pots and proudly declaring their totals and you think, oh bum i could've done that.... (my sealed tin has a padlock which OH has worked out a way of undoing sans key... would you make me a piggy to?:o ) so leave him getting nice and fat and happily slaughter him for christmas!!!
