you are doing really well ISOM.

Glad you've got someone to give you advice on your allotment. My current approach to gardening is telling the plant it has two choices, live or die and it had best do the first thing! They usually behave once we've had a 'chat'.

well done for setting down your challenges for this month, OH kindly got me a supa dooper £1 magnetic notice board from Mr T's and i'm going to put my grocery challenge and how much is 'left' in my current account so i can't hide my head in the sand.
  • well done LT! Go for it girl! Must update my spending diary cos its back!! Esp in view of my tendency to get behnd and go for the "stuff it" approach without the need for any encouragement!

i know the stuff it policy! i'm trying to get out of that stage and going for the, i can't spend that it costs 2p stage! lol

Not sure about a spending diary for me i'm not that disciplined, and i do most of it with my debit card and i keep track of that to the nth degree.

My challenge tomorrow, should i chose to accept it, is to find my wedding shoes and only buy them. I've just transfered over my pay pal money so that's my budget.

You are doing great £10k is a lot!!!....I have the opposite problem spending...I find it hard to justify spending anything not necesssary and feel tight
  • I wish I could get to where you are Mrs T!! I am getting better and am more reluctant to spend but still can! I am increasingly realising the spend & have to pay it back connection (bizarre that that particular concept has taken so long!!) and am much less impulsive than I was! Meeting a friend today for lunch which will be lovely as going a bit nuts now! Have booked a day off o MOnday as course I was meant to be on has been cancelled & working a 4 day week will be a good idea me thinks! Just about to order my replacement watch which is very exciting - going for a garmin 205 for any that have any interest and before people nag its a present! Catch up later! Hugs all!

  • Flipping heck, I'm pooped! Went to pay the garage their dosh (& gave him a jar of chutney as a thank you for doing it so cheap!) and then tok the tapestry frame back that I got - may have to get a credit note rather than a refund but will see what I can do! I do quite a bit of sewing when I get into it so dont mind! Shes on hol until next week so will see what she says whe she gets back. Then met friend for lunch and went to farm shop as they have a lovely cafe. Got some ham - 5 slices and nearly had a heart attack when she said it cost over £5!! Never mind a treat for being off but wont make that mistake again - a few slices from now on!! It is lovely ham though! Guess what I'm having for supper! Must make a loaf of bread as got none! Then popped to the library & got 3 books. Now feel absolutely shattered but its a bit late for a snooze so wont! Just "resting" as granny would say! No other plans now otther than keep going at P's piggy & a bit of a tidy! Oh yes - top update. I tried the 2nd batch of wine & it was yukky so tipped it all down the drain! House is now wine free! There are 2 cgs left but I'll have them as emergency ones - possibly at 7pm tonight! Am going to start sucking the lozenges early so nicotene in my system before body requests it!

Still not come up with a colour or name for piggles yet trying to think of something inspiring or fun or something maori-ish or NZ related....
hmmmm... thought of maybe painting him like a nice pastel patchwork quilt with the stitches and everything? what do you think? thanks so much for doing him. just counted my supposedly sealed pot as i know he's now not foolproofly sealed.. put it all back safely though.
I could do with a snooze to. got quite a bit of work done today but a bit shattered. may take lappy in and have a hot soak in the bath for half hour then crack on with some more work.
Glad you are doing ok. I've had 5 cigs in a packet in my ocat pocket for ages "just in case" then i think of smoking them and leave them where they are!!
Sorry to hear the wine was yukky, what went wrong do you think?
debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!
    :heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:
  • ohh you were posting on me while I was posting on you! Not sure my artistic takents go as far as patchwork effect mrs!! I can do spots but patchwork is a bit sophisticated!! Am very good at cutting & sticking but not on actual artwork!!! If you type in maori names it comes up with loads! Manu is a maori name!! (one of my cats - the post British blue)...anyhooo I do think I'm in need of a snooze so back in a bit!
