Thanks both...home after a nice meal...my secret santa was very knowledgable and got me a lovely bake book from m&s with yummy recipes in, plus a candle and holder that will look yummy in the new bathroom and a lovely heart tree decoration that was made by people locally with learning difficulties so extra special and enabled us to guess who the santa was! All very dfw bargainous with a budget of £5 so she done good!
No yuccy pressies for anyone and great to see someone on maternity leave who came for the meal plus the girl I made the bracelet for loved it which was good and a confidence boost for me as a novice - shes not one who can fake it so knew that she genuinely did like it! Shame cos I'd happily have it back!
Tomorrow will be a quiet day me thinks as still feeling a bit cack so need to recoup and chill a bit. Plus this week been very sociable and I do need time to recoup on my own!
So lovelyto be home with pusscats and cant wait to slip into my own bed!! Blankie is warming as I type!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hi
The secret santa pressies sound great. Not many people are so thoughtful and willing to give up time to look and/or make.
Hope you have a good rest tonight and tomorrow. Its no fun feeling tired all the time. Far too many bugs about at the moment.
Did I miss out on a new family member ISOM. Something about another bob?:j0 -
I have a bob hamster kp but thats t? He may haveto relocate though but I have moved my piggy to block Alfie and that seems to work for now!! In therms of the family/zoo it currently stands at 4 cats, 1 turtle (yellow belly slider for those who may be interested) and a hamster who does a very good impression of hannibal lecter - without the mask!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Christmas Cake
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 stick butter
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
Lemon juice
4 large eggs
Nuts
1 bottle tequila
2 cups of dried fruit
Sample the tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl, check
the tequila again. To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one
level cup and drink. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one
cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat
again.
At this point it's best to make sure the tequila is still OK. Try
another cup... Just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eggs and
add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of died fruits.
Pick the pigging fruit up off floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriverer. Sample the tequila to check for tonsisticicitystuency.
Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Check the tequila. Now
shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a shoon of
spugar, or some fink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn
the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat
off the turner. Finally, finish the tequila and wipe counter with the
cat.

well a quiet w/e spent at home - didnt leave the house at all and not a penny spent - or voucher for that matter!! W*** today which was productive but stressful...managed to get someone to cover my last hour so that I could get home in time to do litter trays etc as have the minister and his wife for tea! Wanted to have a chat and get to know them a bit/know me a bit and discuss where I could fit in in church (if they'll have me!!)...pasta with cheese sauce, garlic bread and lemon tart for pud - didnt make the tart altho know I should! Flat looking remarkably clean!
Just two pressies to get for the girls and then am done...seems that Christmas is almost upon us! not sure how it crept up so fast although chuffed that its pay day this week at last! hugs all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
