Getting there bob...left work a couple of hrs early (the joy of toil!) and went to m&s where I got a nail varnish and pair of slipper socks for the brantub and a pair of same 2.50 socks for mums stocking (santa asked me to get them!) and a top for the do on Friday day - am kitted out for Fri night with my £14 from asda skirt which I'm chuffed with! Paid 50 off my john lewis card which is almost gone now...16 left which will go on payday. Car tax due and also need to check my aug msdw statement as was owed cashback of about 80 which they are now saying isnt showing now that they are barclays...!

Cheeky things, make sure you get that cashback back! Socks sound good, i was having a drool on M&S website, they daren't let me lose in the store LOL..

oh I wil dont worry...slight prob here as Alfie has discovered that he can walk accross to the mantlepiece and torment bob...suspect that bob may win but may have to consider bob going to a new home...had not thought they would manage to get him where he is and theres nowhere else high enough. Will have a think...am off to bed as shattered after a very long day and bad nights sleep and cold still lingering...

flipping cold back with avengance...left work ealy and came home and slept for 2 1/2 hrs and will nightburse myself to sleep. Fri is works night out and girls carols in a very posh abbey (will no doubt freeze appendages off). Got a few presents today from waterstones so most are done now - just one each for the girls and mr weezles...the rest will be made so all good and dont feel I've overdone it at all! Hope youre all ok...will catch up at the w/e which will thankfully be a quiet one!

Sorry to hear that cold is back again.You are doing really well controlling your budget now and it must feel good to have nearly finished your shopping.

Well here I am home again after 24 hours away (I do miss home!). Went to see my girls in the abbey...nice eve last night but bed by 9.30 as best mate & I feeling fluey...then slowish brekkie before going to the abbey and having lunch. Told all 3 girls off for constant moaning/sulking and said that it was boring (which it is) and spoiled what should have been a lovely day (which it did marr)..all done nicely but I hope the point was made...
Makes me realise that I really DO now appreciate a treat and was upset that our meal out was marred by tears and sulks...they are all tired as its been full on the last few weeks but still...we all have so much to be grateful for....they live a very priveledged life and its sad that they dont appreciate that - esp as m&d work very hard for them to have it. ...anyway. Its lovely to be home. Now have to make a bracelat and wrap that with a phone fob that lights and flashes for my brantub pressie, have a bath and get my glad rags on for out at 6.30. Forgot to turn the heating on to be on when I got home so house currently thawing!

And even though there was a few spoilers, it does sound like you had a very nice time..i am sure you made a very valid point to them, i am also of a similar ilk..
If there was no heating on at least you will have saved a bit of dosh...
