oo just rem that I wont be at book group next month as its too close to back op...saved money there! I have my shopping list and bread is baking for my pepys...smells yummy! Woke up at 6.20 which was a pain but had breakfast in bed and read a bit so nice and chilled! Looking forward to today as dont go shopping as much so a treat when I do. Want to see if I can get a pattern for a kimono style dressing gown...will see what they think as in theory would seem s simple thing to start with but often more complex that you first think! Have a good day...

Evening me lovelies! All I can say is   oops...oh dear.
Well I didnt go mad but hadnt appreciated the cost of buying things as its been a while! Got a new pair of kitchen scales, quilting stuff (knife, cutter thing & board), pattern for a baby quilt (simplicity 4202 pattern) with all the fabric (to make what looks like an easy play quilt for my mates baby...famous last words...), wadding and cotton, pins, kitchen tongs & lemon squeezer...
Thankfully returned to an email from babysitting and a call while in Johh lewis from my advert so hopefully a reg one there! Busy week this week with book group mon, babysitting and meeting my new age concern lady tues and possibly babysitting thurs...babysitting sat! so that will cover a fair chunk of the spends plus tax rebate is hopefully on the way and that will cover everthing and a bit more besides. Am concluding that I seem to be better at debt busting in winter...no joy on the kimono pattern dragon - did find one but then discovered they didnt have it as its been discontinued and for some reason they have to shred them...which they did yesterday. Frustrating or what...and she said it so joyfully! The hunt continues! they did have a simplicity one but its in two bits and I didnt feel confident enough to change the pattern at this stage!

  • Oh well sounds like you had fun and you got stuff that will be used. The worst shopping is buying stuff you already have like another pair of shoes! Just one thing with the cat, sewing machine and the extras I would try to slow it down for a bit maybe wait until September before the next biggish spend?

ooh - sounds exciting ISOM - do make sure you take photos of your efforts. I did some quilting once, but it didn't go very well and I abandoned it! Sure you will do fabby :)

Am looking forward to the CJ - need some cheering up! :) So it'll be perfect timing when it comes this week.
