Well ISOM, if you want to save money get thee on freecycle and see if anyone has a sewing machine..total zilch!
Am i being a good BOB? xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Yes you are Bob! Have been good and put an advert on - a longshot but worth a try! Am going to be good and do full research anyway so even if I do get one it wont be an impulse buy but one that is fit for purpose!
Have had a busyish am with finishing weezls pig, changing my gas/elct to capped. I did look at the switching sites but the chapest was my existing supplier so just changed nline as didnt think they would pay if youre just changing tariff with same co...it was 130+ saving so happy with
that...capped till next aug.
Now off to cook & see if books in at the library!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
well done..and very frugal with the books out of the library. Had another thought re sewing machin, would also see if there are any classes out there and you could get the hang of it. When i wanted one years ago, there is an old fashioned shop in our town which sells them. They used to demonstrate them for you, and let you get a feel for the machine you are comfortable with. If there any shops like that i would go in and have a try out on them.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I agree with keeping positive as they are valid points.Hope you had a lovely day at the allotment x0

eveing all. didnt get to the allotment as too hot and couldnt be bovvered! Will go tomorrow instead...being on call is a bit restrictive tbh and while others go out & about I tend to stay close to home when on duty...also want to speak to the allotment sec as think there is little point putting much in due to op as wont be able to do watering etc...will see what he thinks...seems a waste of seeds when they will die and am tempted to just weedkill the plot & the dig over later in the year!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Could weezl keep an eye on your plot for you..whilst you are having the op done? It would be a shame to let all your hard work go...
I am sure they will all pitch in for you xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Afternoon all...trolls are out I see! Must be the heat...ust back fro car boot where I got what I thought was a bargain of a soda stream but cant seem to find the bits so will have a hunt online...I spend quite a bit on fizzy drinks so the idea is to have a soda stream & save money...we shall see! Only paid £2 for it so if the worst comes to the worst I can flog it on ebay or when I do a car boot...they cost 38 new so should make sommat! Also got an Amercian cookery book.
Re the allotment I think what I may do (after I have a chat with secretary) is nuke the whole plot with weedkiller & then leave it over winter and start again next yeat...nothings ever wasted bob but its quite a big plot and by the time of the op I hope that pots and sweetcorn will be done and only a few hers etc in...must go on way home tom & water as didnt again today...boiling here!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
