Morning all! Yup its just like having kids but I will not have animals biting, which the others have learned as they grew up but boundary setting for our Alfie needed!!
Soap book has arrived at the library (one I ordered still not here!) so will pop in to get that and will follow the complaint up - have my receipt and will do it by email as apparently they respond more quickly...Sun is shining here so will also try to get to allotment. Hope youre all ok!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hope day was productive on allotment. I couldn't think of anything better on a day like today.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hi ISOM..sorry about your tesco experience and to be honest I have found quite a number of staff rude in Tescos.I'd make a complaint as well.Hope you had a nice day at the allotment xx0

hi, just thought i'd pop in, i've been mia for a while, don't know what's been wrong but i think i've been a bit down because of my dad.
Well done on the weightloss, and norty boy Alfie, just hope he doesn't start climbing the curtains anytime soon, boy did i have to have words with my girls when they hit that stage.
I nearly had a laughing fit in Mr T's yesterday. I popped in and raided the yellow stickers and this woman picked something up and then said to her little daughter (about 10) they can't sell that it'll go off tomorrow. The daughter said, but that's why it's in the reduced section. You could almost see her rolling her eyes at her mother. I didn't mind i've stocked my freezer up again.
I've had today off, and did a bit of spring cleaning, done my self assessment and finally found out the truth when i tagged along to the specialists today with my parents and sister.0 -
oh LT dindt know your dad had been poorly...pm if I can help - even if you just want a chat - would be happy to ring...oops sorry about that! Been trying (unsucessfully) to fix my shift key on the left which is busted! Now cant get the key back on which is very annoying!
Had a lovely day filled with nice things...went to the dentist (ok not all nice things!) and then went to see about a quilt (ie making ne). as with many things its complex but managed to find a shop that specialises in quilts & patchwork and came away with a cushion to see if I like doing it. If I do then may do a class in Sept as I would love to do a double Welsh quilt for my bed...it will b a long project but one of those things to pass on & really special me thinks. if I dont like it then I will have a birthday pressie for my mums 70'th so nowt lost! then popped in to garden centre for lunch & popped into a friend who is going to come with me to my hospital appt tomorrow...they wrote to say I had a pr-eop appointment & I managed to shift it to tomorrow and will also find out when the op will be...for those who may have forgotten its #2 of the fatty lump removal (nothing sinister) that they didnt do properly last time...Then to the doctors, chemist & had my hair trimmed so am now all tidy (well for me!)!
Anyway need to have a bit of chill time so will pop in later unless sleep gets the better of me!! h yes I did complain to tesco but havent had a response yet...seriously considering moving to asda...eve if theyre rude at least its cheap!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! thanks isom, he's on the downhill road of heart problems, but hopefully we were given some hope today that it could be his thyroid plus some depression which is making it all worse at the moment. sorry for offloading problems. i should be happy at the moment, OH moves here at the end of the month, it's only just over two months till our wonderful wedding, and i just feel low because i'm so worried about dad and have been for the past year. that and i feel i'm failing at every turn becuase i just cant' stick to a diet and i feel i'm suffocating myself. sorry for being such a downer0
-
aww LT you "moan" (although I would call it offloading!) away...good that there's hope & my feeling is its not over till its over but its totally understandable that youre so worried & upset...feel free to offload aytime & I meant t when I said I'm here for a chat if it will help...huge hugs for you and dont worry re the diet we all fail at theam at the best of times, never ind when you feel carp & sick with worry...be gentle with you eh?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Sorry to hear about your Dad Lemon Tree ((hugs))), Its got to offload when times are tough because holding it in can be worse. I wouldnt worry toomuch about diet just try to eat more healthy stuff around the carp to make sure you have energy. When I feeling down I dont eat right which lowers my energylevels and ends in a silly cycle.:j0

Evening all
flipping caps key sill not working so apologies for even worse than usual typing! Had my trip to the hospital & my op is booked in for 22 Aug...went with my friend P who is a sweetie and we always have a laugh, hugs & one of those people I just love to bits! Then went to St Fagans (museum of Welsh life) to have a look at the quilts because I want to make one - see here

for an example. I got a small cushion pattern yesterday that I want to make for my mums birthday (her 70th) and thought that would be a good place to start to see if I like it. Been researching a sewing machine & really regretting selling my other one (although I never got on with it tbh)...will hunt more. Am on call this weekend so at home for much of it & allotment the rest me thinks...need to rid some of those weeds but have had lovely tow days off so feel ready for a bit of digging. Also in the process of finisging weezl's money piggy. was gievn 8 in 2 coins so they all have to go in. Very conscious that i've spnt too much & must get back on track...have been quite irked by all the bickering on the boards of late. For the record I would rather that people I cared about gave me a boot up the bum if I needed it than just looked on, saying nothing...if I object or am upset by whats said I'll let people know & if people want to pm to say "oy youre spending too much is that a good idea?" feel free to do so....its all about balance at the end of the day & I know I have a tendency to go a bit mad with money so please do say if i seem to be getting out of control. Just wanted to say that so that people know where I stand on this...
hope youre all ok...off to check up on you all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hi ISOM....quilting sounds nice and I'm sure your mum will love it.I am not going to give you a kick up the backside as you are free to spend your money on whatever you want to.As you say it's about balance at the end of the day.Do you feel out of control?...if you don't then it's not really anybodies business. If you do then only you and you alone can change that and only IF you want a kick up the backside will I give you one....
Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned so enjoy it especially if it's nice xxx Take care xxx
Sorry to hear about your dad LEMON TREE...no wonder you have been feeling low and it now sounds like he's going to get the right treatment xx0
