  • I can't believe how much can change in the space of a few days.

I went away which had its good points and bad points.

    Good - cute baby,

Bad - couple rowing, being hungry, cold and getting the worst headache I have ever had outside of my home. it was actually very scary.

So I came back yesterday with LOADS of thoughts running round my head.

long train journey equals lots of thinking.

    1. I seriously questioned whether or not I want or could handle a relationship - pretty much decided no.

    2. I realised just how much people can change - if they want to.

    3. I am really fat. I had a photo taken. I also have no dress sense and hugely fat arms.

I did have some e bay success and no Avon success plus I sold anotther book on Green met.

I still haven't tidied the conservatory migt do that now - would make me feel better it looks like SUCH A TIP.

then I could take pics of e bay stuff. excitement!!

  • I am REALLY fed up I HATE sundays they are rubbish slow crappy days on which you can't sort anything out or get anything finished.

My whole furniture thing is rubbish. I am trying to sort out all my clutter and junk in my room but I can't bloody move!

you know when fly lady says don't take out more then you can put back in hour? well I will be clearing up till midnight.

and none of the animals are getting any attention and I go a way next week. I could cry if I wasn't sitting in the living room in front of my Mum who has been bloody miserable all day I am SICK of it all.

  • Well its afew hours later and I feel better. I have hurt my arm which is making it difficult to type! but apart from that am a bit more sorted.

I am going to go and write the longest list in the world of things to do. I need to be a bit organised this week.

    take care all

    Hi Buffy

A long list isn't necessarily the answer.

Your list needs to be divided up, into achievable bits ;)

What can you manage in a day? Not a very long list.
Instead give yourself 5 tasks to do. Bite sized pieces, baby steps. You've heard it all before I know. ;)
But if your list is 20 tasks long and you only manage 6 = you've failed and a negative message.
If it is 5 tasks long, 6 would be INCREDIBLE :D

Please stop beating yourself up :D You've done so much in sorting things out this summer; you should be patting yourself on the back :D
  • thanks Olive, I am panicking tonight, truthfully I should have finished my room today and then tomorrow I would go into work and then in the afternoon start the gardening. But I haven't finished and then OU rears its ugly head - its so humilating I haven't finished a single assignment and i started the course in Feb I hate admitting that. my tutor was so nice. I cannot bear the thought of talking to some one about it.

so tomorrow instead I am going to get up early and finish the furniture and hopefully have some time to do some ou in the evening and go to work on tuesday.

    Ooooh Buffy

Was going to bed but couldn;t read and run. What Olive says........:T :T

Read my thread....same advice been given to me these last 24 hours!!.

So devine Buffy, let's both of us heed it and stop setting ourselves superwoman tasks to be done in too little time so that when we fail we can beat ourselves up......your whip or mine tonight Hun? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Life is for enjoying...if you hate the tasks it's because you aint giving yourself enough time to turn them from chores into something enjoyable. (learnt this big time this last year) I used to hate ironing..now I do it while watching a good DVD and take my time...i.e. I iron until the DVD finishes, not until the ironing is finished (and if I do finish it the ironing then it's a bonus) ... and afterwards it feels like I;ve watched a DVD (pleasureable actiivity and me time ) rather than just "done ironing" (carp and easy to mark yourself down on this as an activity) .....if you see what I mean :D

Hug Hun,,,you wil get there, think about the absolute necessities that must be done before you go away...rather than the "wouldlikes". Set yourself the target of the necessities with a daily plan and then if you get anything else done on the "would likes"....it's a bonus (to be rewarded with copious amounts of chocolate and alcohol :D )

    Much love

  • hi Buffy

I wouldn't worry too much about the OU thing - some of us have been known to do all our essays etc in the last couple of months :o works wonders on the old revision for the exam front ;) Don't think you have to do EVERYTHING AT ONCE! One thing a day is more than acceptable - perhaps taking the e-bay piccies and some quality time with the animals tomorrow. My motto is "have cupboard will shove everything in there"! Then Tuesday you could have a look at the Avon (hope my suggestions on the forum are helpful) giving your charming customers a few days to look at the books. Then look at your room and DO ONE CORNER AT A TIME. You don't have to attack the whole place Kim'n'Aggie style - how many helpers do they have? and how many pairs of hands do you have - you should see my bedroom (one day I will be able to find something on my dressing table without it being like a james bond style avalanche on there. Mr Rage just looks at it now and sighs....). Have you signed up for any surevy panels via the forum here? I signed up the other day and have filled in loads already. They don't take long and would be a bit of extra cash. Anyway I'm off to bed now. Had my brain scan today - they didn't abandon it so there must be something in there :rotfl: work tomorrow for me - only 4 days and then a weekend in London. It's more the only working 4 days that I'm looking forward to rather than the weekend break! I have also decided I am aiming to give up work in the New Year - I just need to get all my money making schemes in place. Oh, thanks to you I've also sold a book on green metropolis :j so, you see, you're not useless at all!!!:money:
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

What is stopping you doing the OU work? I remind you that you agreed not to procrastinate more tidily!!!

BITE SIZE CHUNKS WORK FOR OU ESSAYS TOO!
So get the outline done for the first essay today, and maybe look up some quotes for it. That is then a successs

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Evening Ladiesxxxxx

I wasn't going to write again until I had finished my room, but I have to stop for dinner. I have done the furniture!!!! but now just tidying up. the desk is lovely.

What stops me doing the OU? hmm actually I think its cos i want everything done first and of course there are always things that need doing, i never have a clear evening and then when I do look at the stuff I don't understand it. Rage do you really think I might be ok? I am really putting it off which is silly.

I pleased with today tho, once dinner is over its major tidy up for about 2 hours. then hopefully I will write again from my actual desk!

must go and make my once a day payment too!

Rage before i go when do you get the results? hmmm ((((((hugs)))))))))))
