  • I agree with Chevalier - just a couple of pages a day will make all the difference. I couldn't for the life of me understand my science course that I did with the OU (for a laff - god help me  ). But then I read it v-e-r-y- s-l-o-w-l-y- and somehow it went it. I would urge you to speak to your tutor though as you won't be the only one having an "eh?" moment. When do I get my results. welllll, tehcnically when the consultant gives them to me but I am on the same radiology system at my work, and we're all networked, and I'm always on there looking for other peoples results........ can't imagine.....;) Anyway, I am off for my dinner now. I've been typing digital medical transcription since I got in at 4.15 for exra pennies (I've finally given up when I;ve got a doctor who thinks he has to speak as though he a race horse commentator :D ) and I've still got a load of e-bay stuff to parcel up (thank god not everyone's paid I couldn't cope with that many :rotfl: ) and then i want to watch New Tricks - altogether now "It's alright, It's okay blah blah blah " - have I told you I want to be Brian Lane when I grow up? :rotfl:
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
  • :o just popping on before bed. I couldn't log on to online bankingness site down so will pay double tomorrow. my room - well I can sleep on my bed!!

I have found so much more stuff to e bay, ventured into the loft to "store" e bay stuff and found a pile I made AGES ago:o its getting a bit silly.

mind you I guess once I sell it all............. i need a shed. :rotfl:

    today I

    sorted out bags
    put together desk
put together cupboard with special buffy modifications
    hoover about four million times
    sorted recycling
    found home for school stuff
    took down old shelf unit
    added to e bay pile

tomorrow I am meeting some friends for lunch so before I go out I need to finish off my big tidy.

    so sleepy. night all

    xxx

They are coming down down at least. the payment a day thread is fab!

I did some Ou and a tiny bit of ebaying = taking photos and weighing things.
going off now to Fly lady my life, her website is fab and I have the book too, the daily chat thread got me thinking. Last year (when I first joined) I started flylady cos of this site I was really well organised. and I liked it alot.

Next term at work it is going to be tough. so I figure fly lady might have some of the answers at least! It should also stop me wasting some money - in my big clearout I found so many things - little things like staples or pens paper, etc that I had bought over and over because I couldn't find the first lot!

In other news I have 7.50 in tesco vouchers and have 3pounds in saver stamps for C*******, so that is 10.50 in the fight against using the credit cards.

I think in some ways over this year I have changed, but in other ways I am doing the same things.

    any how
    best get on

  • Ok, my room is finished! :j :j :j :j :j <----I am this happy and actually did this when I finished.
today I - put up my noticeboard, hung up my stationary organiser thing (which involved drilling was VERY proud of myself) reorganised books and pictures, dusted everything in sight hoovered, filled cupboard up with money stuff(not actualy money sadly), cleared out chest of drawers (have bag for charity shop) and generally made it look nice and girlie. :T

I have LOADS more stuff to ebay which is good and although I still must tidy up the conservatory - e bay/Avon central looks like the back room of a charity shop! that will happen tomorrow.

In other news I went into work today. That was depressing. I love teaching, but I loathe my job. I will have to go in tomorrow to start putting up displays and sorting out my boxes:( . If I don't do it tomorrow the woman I share the class room with will be all annoyed and I will NEVER hear the end of it.

I am going away next week, to do my intensive driving course. I am so looking forward to it. I don't expect to pass the test but it will bring me closer to driving and it will be good to get away from everything. I can also take my OU stuff with me and with no MSE to distract me! in fact there will be nothing to distract me!! so I should be able to get on.

I must make some phone calls tomorrow.

ooo today my DFW ness really got me! A new shop opened in our high street and I went in for a look and bought some thing really silly just cos it was there(if you must know it was a bag of scented chalk roses) (that cost 12 quid) (really I have no idea why I bought them) any how I walked round the high street feeling furious with myself for being completely sucked in she did a sales pitch on me and I was weak very weak. So in the end I went back and returned them - she was n't happy about it at all but she gave me back my money. I felt bad for about an hour but I knew I would just kick myself for being so stupid.

I would also like to say that Kizzykizztwizzy is an amazing human being and very inspirational. She has so much dignity and goodness. so there.

I am now going to go eat some chocolate and watch tv

    take care everyone

I am really proud of you for taking chalk roses back to the shop. You would have only ended up putting them on ebay anyway. Hope that you managed to do your displays ok today, AND THEN DID 4 PAGES OF OU! Not like I am nagging you or anything.......
