Slaying my Debts

  • been tidying up the threads I subscribe to.

I am invovled in various challenges.

    failures first!

    live on 4000 a year

I just couldn't keep up with the maths and my vet bills, I am absolutely full of admiration for people who do this. plus my decision to spend money on driving and dentist not in the spirit of the challenge.

    Pay off 20,000

I put myself down for 10,000 - will only have managed 6000 by the end of the year plus borrowing even more money not good at all.

    Some success

    Sealed pot

still put my money in. got three pots going, one for Christmas, one that will get opened when its full and a coppers one for the CC card

    The payment a day

Brilliant I love it! paid off sixty quid that I wouldn't have.

    Mad e bay challenge

Made 21.35 so far. I actually like it a little bit now I am not doing it to a specific dealine. one thing a day is very doable.

    Olympic challenge

I have just started this today. I am pretty hopeful, since I start my new job soon.

    So what have I learnt.

I like to do daily things, little bits. I am not good with dealines and get enough pressure at work. I also need to have a balance between my life moving on and my debt getting smaller. I need to drive so i got in more debt -it won't make sense to a lot of people but it does to me and I am paying it back I have a second job. it is part of the plan!

I am seriously considering dropping Avon. It is costing me money, the tax aspect is still worrying me and it is loads of hassle with returns non paying customers and no one buying anything.

    right best get on.

Buffy I too have crept quietly out of the 4,000 a year challenge. :o
But I'm also with the quit comfort eating thread, and that's continuing. And I have my short term (82 day) challenge which I'm slipping a bit on.:o

I really like posting small DFW things per day, and last weekend I joined the Pap/Moozie challenge and surprisingly have met that one :rotfl:

    I read the make £10 a day.........does that count?
  • I joined your challenge too! oops so many things have gone wrong for that. We were meant to have fences built and the guy hasn't shown, it has rained loads and the garden looks like a jungle! lhuge embarrassing list!

    1. to lose a stone - err not not a hope
    2. to sort out our back garden to a place Mum and I can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or cp of tea! nope
    3. put up the new shed and fill it with stuff that is important to me, not endless amounts of junk can't do till fences get done and even then not likely
    4. get someone to put boards down in the loft and use the space properly. nope if anything its worse, stuff for shed is also up there.
    5. to e bay my extra junk. made a good start on that
    6. to get a good Avon customer base no chance. but maybe second job would be good for new customers
    7. to halve my credit card debit. (2060) currently 3630 need to pay a further 1570. hmmmm.
    8. to complete my assignments for open university. 1/7
    9. to be fully prepared for school next term have started that.

You have extended yours cos of popeye right? I think I might have to do the same!!!

    Here we are:
Repaying your payday loan could not be easier.
We simply debit the payment from your debit card on your payday for the agreed amount – no fuss and nothing further for you to do.

Sorted - unless you really wanted to pay it early? It won't save any money.
  • cheers! I don't really want to pay early, just wanted to get it out of the way.
