OH is watching something really boring about railways, so I have come on here to catch upWork day today, no time to go shopping and so an NSD for me.Nice weather,or at least it hasn't been raining much, and the sun has shone sometimes. Here's hoping it lasts over the weekend so I can get out into the garden. Everything is looking quite green now, and I have lots of flowers in the garden - love spring7

Today I am grateful for pip's head of year who is fab with him, for friendly people at the gym, for deciding to mow the front as soon as I returned from the gym- 10 mins later it was raining!, for finding pip's lost fidget toy, for my audiobook.

Enjoy your time off @lcc86 & good luck with the promotion application.
Full of the cold today. Thankfully work went ok, as my head was thumping & I wasn't up to dealing with a lot of drama! Ate the main course from DS3's cookery exam yesterday, for my lunch today. Had a good chat with a colleague after work, we're both on the same page about a lot of the politics going on in the school, & a couple of other staff are causing a lot of segregation.
Wrapped DH's birthday presents after tea, then dashed back to work for bingo to fundraise for a residential trip. Helped a few pupils who'd never played before & they quickly caught the bug & enjoyed it 😃 I won a voucher for a local ice cream parlour in the raffle, so a treat for later in the year.
Grateful for an easy day, helping children play bingo, winning a prizeUse it up, wear it out

Yay for ice cream vouchers, gardens growing, smart meters registering, and lawn mowing.
A great idea @Thrifty_Taylor not sure why I didn't think of defrosting in the microwave. I've ordered a new toaster so dad can stick to his routines and I reduce my chances of distracted mishap too.
Has been an emotional and tiring few days. Grateful for NHS care and an adult frailty unit that is really good with it's target cohort, for insulated mugs that keep tea hot and for family to be there at awful times.

Thanks @Thrifty_Taylor. I've been given an interview for first day back from leave so we'll see. I found out my "Big Boss's" best mate at work has also gone for it so not holding out much hope, but I can only do what I can do.
Yesterday pretty much went as planned. Picked up my car and paid that bill from savings, then took bunny to the vet and got another bill there which I also paid from savings. Had my first phase interview for a charity trustee role I applied for, will see what happens with that, then cycled down to the local hospital to meet my friend who works there. Cycled back up to the gp for an appointment afterwards and then home again, nice little workout. Did some yoga, read my book and just chilled for the evening as OH was out.
Today I'm on call but all quiet so far. Have got some washing done, cleaned carpets, put an online shopping list together and been to the gym. Need to change bedsheets, do some more washing and some batch cooking. Off to Bath tomorrow so trying to get as much done today as possible.8 -
Today I am grateful for waking up naturally, for missing the prolonged hail and rainstorm this afternoon, for chatting with Pip, for getting an nsd, for just 3 days until the end of term for Pip.

A real rollercoaster of a day. I had planned a lie in, then give DH his birthday presents, before heading to town to do my big monthly shop with my 10% off L1DL spend.
My brother phoned just after 7am to say that my auntie had passed away last night. Of course I couldn't sleep after that! Mum txt to say she wouldn't be going shopping as she wasn't feeling well, but I said I'd pop in anyway. Broke the news to her & spent some time with her, then went to do my shop & get a couple of things for mum too.
My head has been sore all day, with having the cold too, so after returning home, eating DS3's cooking exam starter (quite tasty!), I gave DH his presents (I cried a bit when he opened the card from my auntie) & went for a nap.
Ate tea, then I repaired 2 zips & unpicked 2 coat zips whilst watching a film together.
Grateful for my auntie not suffering anymore, having my mum within driving distance & paracetamolUse it up, wear it out
