morning all
Slept well until about 6 when side effects kicked in. Took a loperamide.
Im at home today but not quite sure what i will be doing. Blood test at 4:10. Booking that, and the car in for some attention, were admin tasks i’d been kind of ignoring.
Actually I might dust and vacuum the DR and i might pick another kitchen drawer for attention, or maybe a cupboard.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Yogurt prepped, banking checked and not quite as bad as I'd anticipated. We've currently lots of unexpected expenses including car repairs and costs associated with travelling to and looking after DMiL.

Afternoon everyone.Valli, I hope you're feeling a bit better now. ASB, I hope your daughter is feeling better too.Who are the flymeeters and where are they meeting?I was up a bit earlier than usual and after getting ready I did eye drops and took a bag of rubbish down and got the paper. A parcel arrived from John Lewis - the rug underlay. We only ordered it late yesterday afternoon and it arrived before 9. I then put a load of towels on to wash and put the tall kitchen bin in the bath and filled it (the bin) with bleachey water. I then went out and drove down to the high street and dropped some things off at the dry cleaners, including my lovely new gloves which were stained by something left on the steering wheel when the car had its service. I've still to complete the survey for that so will be mentioning it. I think they should pay for the dry cleaning and even a new pair of gloves if the marks don't come off - and the woman in the dry cleaner wasn't convinced they would. After that I went to the small garden centre and bought a primrose. Someone on here told me that anything will grow indoors, and certainly the narcissus plants I bought have done well. I went to Waitrose for a few bits and drove home.Once home I took up the rug and removed the old underlay and vacc'd the sitting room, and as I had the vac out, the hall. I then fought with the new underlay and rug (worse than putting on the duvet cover) but got it done in the end. I rinsed out the kitchen bin and dried it and then made lunch for A and am about to have mine.

I have level 3 cleaned the dining room so that's looking better. I have pegged out my swim stuff and so far the weather is showing that it doesn't give two hoots what the forecast was and it will do as it pleases. Plan to clean the hallway next.
Phlebotomist appt this afternoon.
tea will be salmon served with rice and I shall cook extra rice as DD is taking chilli and rice for her lunches; it will (a) save her a job and (b) save on fuel for the hob. Might go out earlier as I need some bits of shopping.

Washed up and then cleaned the bathroom and kitchen floors. Put everything back in both rooms and then put on the last lot of TDing. Went out for a walk as it's still fairly sunny - only went for a mile or so - and am now back.Have been feeling a bit down today, despite all my activity. A seems a bit down too - I think this new shoulder pain added to everything else is having a bad effect on him. We should get the results of the x-ray this week though.I"m sure I killed a couple of frogs today but I can't remember what they are.

Valli said:CoG he’s my stepdad, he’s about 77 or 78 I think. They like to keep things secret. Which is a pain and has been a burden,
Mum was fine until about 10pm then the agitation crept in. She wanted her pipe to blow smoke. She’s never, ever smoked…she wanted her phone actually but i wouldn’t let her phone him in case he was mid game. Anyway, given it’s lit up like Blackpool I was able to easily see to knit. I had a hard time convincing her she was in her own house.Sorry, I didn't respond to this before. It's good still to be playing in chess competitions in his late 70s. I think that older generations tend not to give much away. I remember as a child I was pretty inquisitive and would ask for lots of details about things and my grandmother would say to me 'you always want to know the far end of everything'.I"m sorry about your mum - it's a very difficult situation. Most of us in this thread are in a difficult situation of one sort or another aren't we? Perhaps it's why it works so well. Anyway, I'm sending you a very nice spoon.7 -
Hallooooo xx
It's me. I'm back. Another day survived - to be fair it wasn't too bad today. Still learning B&B.
I called at PO on my way home to pay the leccy bill and a week's rent. Came home, unpacked my lunch bag, pulled on my scruffs, FUPA a towel that had been left on the airer to dry , and FUPA the airer. Made a coffee and now ahhhhh. Flumped in my chair. And breathe...

Another great Flymeet! Fayolle and I raised our coffee cups to all Flyfolk, past and present. Some of you might have noticed your ears burning - but everything we said was very complimentary 😃👍in Flying news, back at DS2's, I helped to clear the table after tea and wiped the table mats.6

And I did tick some flying jobs off before and after I played truant and snuck off to meet Iona & Rosie 😇. I can also vouch for Iona’s coffee and walnut cake making prowess, although I’m not so sure how much will be left for DD when she comes home at the weekend. I might need to find a lock and key…
Flying achieved today: wm x 1, bed stripped and remade, wm loaded for the morning, upstairs dusted and vacuumed, bathroom cleaned. I even managed HH admin. Dinner has been cooked (30 minutes) and eaten (9 minutes) was it worth the effort, kitchen put to bed.
I have a new library book ready for “collection” ( I dislike ebooks, give me a real book any day, but it’s the only way that I can make use of the brilliant library facilities), so I need to crack on with the one I am reading (another ASB recommendation). Last sleeve of DD’s jumper also needs to be finished for the weekend. Drat having to go to work tomorrow, so many better things to do.5 -
