I’m not sure if I’m late to bed or very early up? Was fast asleep by 9pm. Now wide awake with a headache and my thoughts!WM has been replaced with a FB marketplace find thankfully. Shower less straightforward and requires new fangled expensive fix. Can’t even bear to think about it TBH so I just won’t for now! We have heavy snow here, thankfully I moved the car yesterday so we can go out as planned.Going to mooch online for a bit then try for more sleep. I’ve chucked a load of coal on the fire so it’s still toasty warm.5

Morning all,
It’s been non stop rain here, now it’s mist and murk. Hardly conducive to doing anything, as if I needed an excuse. Flying has been pretty non existent, apart from cooking a dinner when I get home and putting the kitchen to bed. But DD came home last night for a weekend visit, so it’s lovely to have her back for a couple of days.No particular plans for today - DD wants to bake and DH has announced that he is cooking something for dinner so multiple kitchen tidying will surely feature. I need to make a concerted effort to finish knitting DD’s jumper today. I think it might be too small…
I hope Mr Pigpen finds another job soon. Hope all poorlies are recovering.
Second brew, anyone? x5 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
I can't remember which day I posted on but I've just been busy with paid stuff, family visiting for lunch and prioritising baking over flying. Dailies have been getting done and I did hoover through yesterday.
I'm on first cuppa of the day and apart from dog walk and watching football I don't really have any other plans. I may get back on with my knitting.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
CofG thats so funny, I have been known to sing when I am hiking or cycling, but usually when I am on my own!
Wondering if Narco has made it to swimming, it's wet and cold but unless DS decides otherwise I will be picking him up from the train station at 11am and I will be wearing a lot of layers!
Glad you have got a washing machine ASB. I was up early so decided to start going through the storage boxes on top of the office shelves. Two old passports, a wedding invitation from 2008, a diary from 2011 and a load of useless bits of paper have been chucked in the fire.
Any advice on what I should do with two very ancient mobile phones?
Right need to move myself, have a good Saturday all x7 -
mobiles can be donated to Oxfam, they recycle them because they contain rare metals. Mind you. I might be tempted to look on ebay and see if there’s a market for vintage phones…
another lazy weekend planned. Tomorrow is the fareshare/community meal which i like to go to. We have tried to sell DDs ‘old’ car privately but she’s arranged to take it into a dealer now. Wouldn’t you credit it we’ve had a nibble… If they were eager they’d be coming this morning, they implied they *might* come tomorrow. So I expect she’ll still want to take it to the dealership. No doubt the neighbours will be pleased as it’s been taking up space on the road.

Good morning my lovelies xx
Another week at Toxic Towers survived. Watched F1 Qualifying highlights last night. Let the season commence. 😊 Alonsoooo!
I laid in til 8.15 which felt deliciously decadent. I've made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, supped two brews, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle and Connections, and I'm watching athletics on telly. I suppose I ought to get dressed at some point.
Round 1
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
That'll do for starters.
Hope OH soon finds another job piggers xx
Hope all the poorlies are on the mend. Xx
Love to all

Me again. I had a lovely soak in the bath. Dailies now done, one wash load whirring and Poppet has been walked. We stayed dry today.
Thanks Valli for the tip about ancient phones. I can't be bothered with eb@y so will take to 0xfam next time I'm in York.
Pondering what to do next.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
ooh a York Flymeet...at Betty's? Anyone up for it?
Toots list job done
Photo driving licence applied for - I accidentally half-shredded it when it dropped into the shredder about 2 years ago. I was waiting to see whether it was worth applying for (lifespan-wise) but as I am now officially ancient I need proof of age to get senior citizen discounts so I have bitten the bullet. I need it before we go to Liverpool as I have got discounted bus tickets and they will probably need proof of age given I look so youthful
Pots rinsed and stacked in DW, jam jars delabelled and stacked in DW, cat pots washed, kitched S&S. Bed made, bedroom vacuumed.
