It has been such a good thing, it is allowing me to build up savings whilst not having to worry long term. If it comes to a Tuesday and there's not enough to do a big savings if I can at least manage £25 a week that is good for me.

On review I got pretty serious about funding my emergency fund in April/May and since then it has grown from pretty much zero to £1000.00. All by being aware of what I am focused on and not trying to fund too much at once on payday and then having to steal from them.

Totally here for the Transfer Tuesday update too 😂

It's fantastic how you have got that £1000 together so quickly, well done!

What an emotional rollercoaster week. It's been hectic, filled with work, school activities for daughter leaving and extra hours to cover the missed work hours. I've been feeling pretty rubbish but mood was lifted by seeing daughter leaving party with her even doing a solo of a mama Mia song…although all the years school memories flashing by on a monitor behind set her off in tears bless her. It is crazy how the years have passed by and to see how tiny and shy she was to see the kind, caring and confident person she's growing into is insane. We feel incredibly proud but also lucky, seeing her with her friends and just been content is such a far cry from where we were a few years ago where she really struggled.

I do feel I am having dips of feeling totally rubbish with everything and I need to address this. Long term this isn't sustainable, I have decided to take steps to try improve this and I have put it off for months, possibly years due to fear of certain things.

Money wise we are doing well, we did have a bit of a splurge yesterday for the football where we treated ourselves to some snacks and goodies. I am glad it's Friday tomorrow, although will be a day filled with meetings

She takes everything in her stride, I think kids tend to be more resilient than we sometimes credit them with.

Little baby steps :) - pretending everything is fine and burying head in the sand clearly hasn't worked 😆.

    Happy Friday 😊☀️

One last day to get out of the way, today I’m expecting to have a few difficult chats but after that I’m hoping things can get a little bit easier work wise. It feels like I’ve been saying that a while.

Nothing really much currently planned for the weekend, although my DD seems to be hinting at wanting to go trampoline park..Oo yay fun times 😂. Hope everyone has fab Friday

It’s the weekend FFD - time to put work to the side for a couple of days. From reading between the lines, work is the stressor in your life at the moment? Your family time always sounds special and enjoyable.

I can relate to that a lot. Hope the chats at work have helped move things forward a bit for you.

    Have a lovely weekend!
