That does sound like a good plan 😊

Messy Monday is done and dusted, onto the rest of the week - I am pretty certain our school will be having kids not go in by midweek so will probably end up Weds working from home. We have had a pretty chill weekend with not much done other than a bit of family visiting. It will be a busy one this week and probably a tiring one. Thursday / Friday will be spent gardening and sorting a few bits in the house.
Nothing much to report financially, food shopping was done yesterday and so far we seem to be on budget, petrol will need to be topped up at some point.

Finally updated YNAB, I have been a naughty YNABBER this month. I haven't really kept up to it as much as I could have. The positive is that I haven't really over spent anywhere and pretty easy to reconcile. It does mean I can now do Transfer Tuesday 🥳
Transfer Tuesday
Emergency Fund - Topped up by £30.00 - New Balance £530. This isn't so much getting much focus as it stands as I hit £500 and pretty content that covers most things at the minute. I am hoping to fund this by £100 per month but that might fluctuate. I want to have £1k by December.
Mattress purchase - £48.00 - This means we have passed the first £100 of the purchase price. We are likely to replace the bed at the same time so the goal might change. We do need to do some research though
Xmas - £25 added - Balance now £75.00
Car Maintenance - £25 added - Balance now £50
This transfer Tuesday we have been able to allocate a little more as we have more spare than normal. I am happy to slowly see the balances increase.

Finally Friday, I didn't get the planned Thursday / Friday off that I had hoped for due to been just crazy busy in work. So I have to now find another better time to book off, I will maybe think of booking a two week period off to be honest. I haven't really slept much last night I kept waking up every hour or so, I think today will be powered by coffee 🤣. I am going to treat myself to coffee out and a bacon sarnie, it has been a nightmare week work wise, but the positive is outside of work has been nice. Last night I took little one to pub for a pint of cola, while I had a nice pint. The school teacher when I picked her up said "oo she's looking forward to her pint" 😆, we then did a bit of YouTube karaoke which was….interesting
Today is a morning of meetings, then I need to try do some admin, I am determined to not let work make me miserable despite it been really rough at the minute.
In finance news I have updated YNAB with the weekly spends, which hasn't really been much as I haven't had time to spend money haha. Payday will be Monday, so we should roll into that with money spare so I will see what we have and decide on Sunday night where this will go. We have the cinema and also a drama show this weekend so will be spendy I expect.
Hope everyone has managed to keep cool in the heat and has a wonderful Friday ☀️

Work will turn a corner again soon hopefully and stress levels will drop again.
It’s really nice to read that you’ve had some good family time in between work too!1 -

I have certainly had better ideas 🤣. She ended up trying to climb In at the bottom of my bed about 2am and then tried snuggled which I quickly rejected she's like a bloody over haha. I am going to get through July which I expect to be a tough month and then I am going to have two weeks off, a total shutdown and just have time away.

I do hope so and I expect it will, right now I am dealing with a combo of ppl still trying to get me to do my old role, plus getting caught up in historic stuff in my new role. I am expecting the next two weeks to be rough, I have a project I am expecting issues with so we will see.
It's been nice to just get to spend some time with the little one, I took her bowling tonight so yes I am trying to just let work stay at work. Although not as easy as I would like
