Happy Wednesday, been a busy day today with not much really screen time so that is a positive. I worked my half day and then went out this evening to watch little one at a concert, also managed to squeeze in a day date with missus so not a bad day overall. We did spend on food and drinks but was nice to relax a little. Tomorrow is a busy day as I am travelling and out on site, I am hopeful it won't be all day as I have got so much to catch up on.

Tonight has been a later night than I am used to lately so seeing how I feel in the morning will be interesting.

Another week coming to a close. Hoping for a bit of a quieter day tomorrow, today has been mainly spent driving and I managed to get a bit of work done in office this afternoon but not as much as I would like. Although I did finally manage to progress a task that has been sat in my inbox far too long. Friday is going to be admin day, I will also be able to get up a little later tomorrow as no school run. Over the weekend I need to top up my vitamin stuff, I always seem to be very low in vitamin d so I need to up these. The one thing I have managed to slowly do is cut out as much coffee through the day.

Not really much to report finance wise today which after a spendy few days is a bit of a relieve.

@FootyFanDan you are not boring! I found that accepting routine was a big part of sorting my finances. The constant quest for excitement isn't MSE. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx

I totally agree with @Humdinger1 it’s the calmer routines that helps us to be better with money, especially if you can find enjoyment in them!

Like you, I’m finding updating everyday is a helpful way of keeping finances front of my mind even if nothing exciting is happening. It’s actually setting the habits isn’t it.

    I enjoy your diary 😊

Not boring! Just living life! I do blame social media a bit for making us feel we should all be constantly doing "more" when actually life isn't permanently doing out if the ordinary things or performing to the world - there's a pleasant comfort in the routine of normal.

I am really finding calm in the routine of been able to make sure I update my diary, as well as cheering others on but also checking my spends daily are not taking us off course. Honestly updating more has brought my finances back into focus, as I know i was getting to a point where I had started loosing the reigns abit. I want to absolutely find that nice balance

Thank you :) - I am enjoying the routines. And I also know that my agreement with myself is I update my diary daily irrespective of what I am doing. I am starting to trust I can set routines and stick to them as silly as that sounds. I have found that updating more has helped and I have felt like I am starting my financial journey all over again with new outlook.

Totally agree, I think social media and some of the stuff we consume is driven at that constant need to be doing something or to feel productive and I have absolutely become a victim of that, and I am slowly trying to transition from that. I have felt over the last 6-12 months non stop and that I am constantly switched on and that is just draining. I don't want to get to a point where I have no drive to do anything but its no good to just be constantly at it.

I am slowly starting to get more into my routines and I am finding pleasure in the simple things and I can let my mind rest a bit. I have improved my sleep and slowly want to increase the activity of exercise and I am desperate to learn to cook better and eat better.
