Vntd isn't something I have ever really looked into tbh, although I know loads of ppl at work say it's decent. I will take a look

For the pension, you don't need to combine old pensions now. You can combine old pensions when you want to take money from them later on, you don't have to combine them now unless you think one is say performing badly and want to put the money in one performing better/ with better fees etc.
And yes putting money in from Salary sacrifice whilst you pay higher rates of income tax makes the best financial sense as it costs you £60 to get £100 in as a higher rate tax payer.

I think the pensions thing was more of a try keep them in one place to have a good view of them but actually knowing I at least have access to see them is probably enough right now.
Increase through salary sacrifice is the route I’m going to go, I will speak to hr next month and see what I need to do. I also put a small amount in an investment account, not enough to make huge difference but the plan is to increase this significantly once holiday is done
I’ve spent the evening setting up my desk with the new stuff and I’m pretty happy with it. I only have a small space so making best I can of it. There’s still bits I want to add so I will slowly do that4 -
That is Monday out of the way :) - Not been the best day but we got through it.
Transferred over £63 to the emergency fund. New Balance £63/£1000. Hopefully will be able to fund abit more next Monday too to make it up to £100 for the month. It is going to be a pretty hectic week work wise as got a lot of works planned over the next few weeks so want to try get in front.
The plus side today I managed to not have to buy lunch out, I am hoping I can at least do this Monday-Thursday and maybe a treat on a Friday which would be a whole lot better than the last few months which I have been incredibly lazy. Also new hoodie arrived today and really like it so the day has ended on a good note.
Hope everyone had a decent start to the week.

Yay to starting the emergency fund 👏🏻. Well done for holding on to the positives. Mondays and Tuesdays are the tough ones of the week I usually find. All downhill from there.

I must admit I’m not having the most fun time at work right now, but we’ve to keep going haven’t we. I’m trying to keep positive and pushing through.

Tuesday done and dusted. Nowt much to report really. Finance wise £32 has come out of the family/entertainment pot for trampoline park on Sunday. We’ve also got some free tickets to a basketball game for Saturday evening, so might use this as our eating out night as a treat. Again another day where work lunch was home made. I’ve managed to hold of petrol this week but likely will need to top up tomorrow.

Pretty uneventful day but no spends so a win. I managed to not need to fill up today, as no real time to do it but will go tomorrow morning before work. Sleep last night sucked! so felt pretty tired.

Finally Friday, this weeks been a mixture work wise. I make progress and then late at night I forget I didn’t send an important email so feeling pretty disorganised. I just feel constantly busy so end up missing simple things I need to really start putting my head in gear
Anyhow, finance wise has been okay this week. No bought lunches, although I’m out on road tomorrow so will deffo be eating out.
Hope everyone’s week has been ok. I have managed to collate the various substitutions that I’ve got so will tidy that all up over the weekend
