Good footy result for you mate, not for us haha.

Hope the MOT went OK. The C63 is due its first in a month or so, seems OK but you never know.

ha, yeah wasn’t as difficult a game as I expected tbh but we needed that win with what games we have coming up.

Hope you and the family are well.

Good Morning. Yesterday was pretty busy with doing stuff with car and drama drop off and stuff. The service and MOT was done yesterday and car needs about £250 spending to get through MOT. Nothing deemed a dangerous repair, but booked back for early next week, my current MOT expires Friday next week. It could have been a lot worse but yeah always frustrating when it’s a thing you haven’t budgeted for. Luckily there’s money within the budget to cover it without much drama and tbh the car is an absolute essential for us with work, and school drop offs so not really a thing I can avoid. There’s hopefully still a few years in the car yeah but we are at 125k miles and with work and stuff I expect by time next MOT is here it will be closer to 140k.

There’s hopefully still evening was spent chilling with snacks n watching stranger things and a nice lay-in this morning.

I need to do the food shop today which is never fun on a Sunday and then chill with tv n Lego building hopefully. I need to review some work stuff if I can get round to it

I feel you on the dreaded Sunday food shop. I am venturing out today too, never fun with 3 children in tow, so will be keeping it to pack ups and dinner top up.

Sorry about the car but it could have been worse? I think the MOT rules changed a while back to say that once failed, it can’t be driven until retested. I hope you’ll be okay in the meantime.

Food shop done, under budget. I need to do this through the week, I am finding the weekend's are just getting busier and busier. This afternoon will be just relaxing, I need to look through budget and amend it to accommodate the repair

These Mondays come round far too quick for my liking 🤣. It’s been a work from home day and I have really felt the benefit of it. I feel like I’ve got lots done although it’s more that I’ve got a few of the time consuming admin out of the way. Either way I’ll take it as a win! The car is booked in for repair tomorrow, this is where I’ve really seen the benefit of saving through the year. Even though there’s nowt left in the car pot, there’s an emergency fund that has a decent percent of repair cost in it. In my world my car repairs are about as close to an emergency as we get. I will be happy though to see them pots filling back up 🤣.

No money spends to report today. Hope everyone had a good Monday

There won't be another Monday for a whole week @FootyFanDan! Enjoying your diary, as ever. You're doing brilliantly Humdinger

There is a positive @Humdinger1 🤣. Weirdly I’m actually enjoying being reconnected to my diary. Whilst a lot of it is more just a place to put down thoughts, it’s helping massively with things too.

Another grey and drizzly day in store here I think. I’ve just dropped off my car to be repaired/partial retest. I’m going to sit in the coffee shop have breakfast n coffee and try out some actions into my planner. I’ve got my laptop but never really been comfortable with working in the place when it’s so busy. So I will jot stuff on my phone.

I will work late tonight at home to catch up a bit

Car repairs all completed and MOT sorted for another year 🎉, that is my first huge annual expense dealt with and I can now put some focus elsewhere. We didn't escape it unscathed but it was a huge help only having to find a small amount. The next focus is the car insurance, I need to start looking at quotes for that over the next few weeks.

I managed to get some work done and will maybe just tidy up some emails later but overall not too much missed. Tomorrow is an half day but I am going to go into the office, I have got my list of stuff to work through and a few deadlines fast approaching.
