Very peculiar, but glad you got the right result. Thanks for reporting back!

Will Nationwide advertise the criteria for 2025 in advance?
I only saw the 2024 criteria after the fact (i.e. needed £100 in savings in March, which I only saw in June), so could not act to meet them.
Safest way would be to have more than necessary e.g. £200 in savings, 3 transactions, move £750 a month in and out etc, that is what I am planning

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

The easiest way to satisfy the conditions for FlexDirect or FlexAccount this year and the year before was to do a CASS in Jan, Feb or March.
None of these options are "safe" in any meaningful way though. Nationwide could payout nothing next year, or change the eligibility requirement such that neither actually satisfies the conditions. It's important to make peace with the fact it's a punt.

Yes and the punt can be weighted in your favour by at least matching the previous criteria with allowance that they may change it a bit to try and stop people gaming it.

If 2 people had a joint flex plus account and they also had savings of £100 each in sole accounts would they both have qualified and got £100 each fairer share payment?

What if the £100 had beeb in a joint savings account?

Also remember the current account had to be "active".

FlexPlus has (so far) been deemed active by merely paying the fee, which is a non-optional condition of having FlexPlus!
£100 in a joint savings account has been sufficient for both members, as has a mortgage balance of over £100 in two names.
None of this is a guarantee that future Fairer Share payments will follow the same eligibility rules, if they happen at all.
