Nationwide Fairer Share Payment 2024

Nationwide’s Board will decide on whether we can make a payment for 2024. That will depend on how well we have performed financially. The Board will make that assessment – and confirm this year’s eligibility criteria - after the financial year ends in April. |
Look out for an announcement on 23 May 2024. https://www.nationwide.co.uk/about-us/fairer-share/ |

I don't think that Nationwide's qualifying criteria is very fair, as thousands of people have missed out this including ourselves who have been with them for over 50 years, we have had several Mortgages over the years, we have ISA's etc. Not Very Good At All. Not Very Pleased. Shame on you.6

They might (or might not) be better than last year.
Perhaps wait until they announce them before judging!8 -

Wonder why they announced it now with speculation and quoting last years criteria? Probably to sucker people in with their best guess at this years criteria! Still this about as far as I get into gambling so bring it on!0 -

They've kept the reference to last year's scheme, I doubt it's intended to be a clue.0 -

I cannot get worked up about this, the far bigger issue is that they have just made their app considerably worse, it now looks like it was designed by Fisher Price for use by under fives and has over simplified UI, together with the random and awful rebrand, where they appear to have decided to turn themselves into a second rate copy of NatWest.3

With regard to the fairer share payments and whether they are/were fair or not, each and every member of Nationwide has the power to make a difference by voting at their AGM. Of course you can't vote for individual policies specifically however everyone can vote down the directors remuneration report. Whilst a 'No' vote would not be binding it's inconceivable the board would survive after such a vote.
The results of the vote would suggest the vast majority of members were happy as the 'For' vote share actually increased to over 95%, or as more than 15 million apathetic members couldn't be bothered to vote at all it would suggest whining is easier than voting.

I guess it's a bit like politics ..why should I bother to vote?2
