Nationwide Fairer Share Payment 2024

As far as I can see (in the app) we're set to paperless for everything too. But that doesn't necessarily stop them posting out unusual stuff like this. I agree it's both utterly wasteful and utterly unnecessary as we've had emails and app push already.flaneurs_lobster said:
I'm sure I have everything I can set to "paperless please" and I don't receive paper statements for example. NW have already told me my happy news by both app push and email. I know they won't be paying "normal" postage for these letters but even so the cost (both financial and environmental) of sending out hardcopies seems wasteful.Zanderman said:
Mrs Z-man and I got one of each - the fancy looking one (me) and the plain white envelope one (her). Maybe they didn't order enough of one, or one is from the left-overs from old stationery and they're changing to the new one.steven141 said:
I got a letter about it but it was in a plain white envelope not like this.GalacticaActual said:Just had the confirmation letter through the post, using very high quality paper and envelope it must be said 😏
NB Both had (before anyone asks) the current branding/logo that some on here love to hate!3 -
Totally agree, wasteful and unnecessary.0

I think it was Barclays where I ticked a box in the app to go paperless and they sent me a letter confirming my choice!6

Things like that are pretty standard security measure - just in case someone did it without your knowledge so you're alerted. Even an email could be compromised remotely.boingy said:I think it was Barclays where I ticked a box in the app to go paperless and they sent me a letter confirming my choice!Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Also voted against the board yesterday in the upcoming AGM. Very satisfying.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein3 -
I seem to have received 2!
I can't see any reason why this would be the case, is it simply an administrative error and I should expect to see one of the payments backed out, should I contact someone or is there something I missed which might make me eligible for a second payment?0 -

I thought it was one payment per eligible account(s), I didn't realise it was per person.1 -
I have a FlexPlus joint account with £100 added this morning as my partner wasn't eligible. Should I therefore treat it as a £100 payment from Nationwide to me, or £50/£50 as it's a joint account?0
