Lots of catchups planned for the week after next as I am off with lunches and wine etc😉 let’s hope it’s a bit warmer by then!
DS came to visit after work today and treated me to a fish supper 😂 I am still frozen so I didn’t meet my friend this evening for our film but she didn’t fancy it either 😂
been trying to warm up since I got in and I have had heating on, fleecy hoodie, hot drinks, blanket, cat but still felt cold until I put my pjs on and a pair of big fluffy socks! I think the socks have saved the day.

Electric blanket / throw would provide targeted heat. I must admit I like both now. Love that the cat was included in the heating elements

I will keep a look out for the throws SH, I saw a heated oodie type thing in the supermarket the other day.

So the joys of having extra space…I have been using DS’s old room to dry clothes as there’s no furniture in it at the moment. The other day I went in and there was a horrible damp smell😱 I checked the boiler cupboard thinking it might be leaking but it was fine, checked radiator, window then realised there was a pile of wet clothes on the carpet 😱 I think I had come home from work and come upstairs to hang the washing up that had been on while I was out then my work phone rang so I came downstairs and had a long chat to my boss after which I must have made dinner or something and completely forgotten about it for a week😳🙄. Anyway the dehumidifier was on all day yesterday and washing rewashed and all is good, what a numpty I am.

Long day yesterday (15 hours) so vegging on the sofa with the cat today. Must do some shopping as I am running out of everything! I usually make porridge using Greek yogurt but none left and put frozen fruit in but none left! I made it with milk and put peanut butter and honey in which was delicious but not what I expected.  Pay day next week and I still had money in my personal spends as well as food budget which shows how little I have done!

The obvious takeaway from my previous post is that I have way too many clothes as I hadn’t needed anything enough to enter the room in a week!

    Well … maybe … but:

    - were any of them summer clothes - you wouldn’t have needed them?

    - I always think you should have at least two weeks’ worth of things like underwear, work tops etc as otherwise if the washing machine goes down, you literally have nothing to wear! (I know you can hand wash smalls, but I’d rather focus on getting a new machine sorted …).

    Yaaay for the TCB 😊

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

That’s me! But I am trying to wear them all and not get stuck in a rut. After years of uniforms it’s strange selecting clothes each day😂

I've been there on the wet washing thing. Glad it's sorted. I'm with KK though - definitely like lots of spares of anything worn daily.
