Brew supped. Breakfast eaten.
I'm dressed, pegged out the washing, fed the birds, put out the recycling and apologised to a colleague for my part in last week's WW3 at Toxic Towers. It would seem that the only person who blames me is me! 🤔 But that's my default: it's always my fault.
I do love you guys. Even if you're posh and wield axes 🤣🤣 For the record: having a greenhouse doesn't mean you're posh. Growing up our NN had one, and he had dead animals hanging in it to grow maggots for fishing. Defo not posh. And an allotment isn't posh. My uncle had an allotment and he wasn't posh. He'd been to prison and all sorts. Although I guess posh people do go to prison too. 🤔 Hmmmm what is posh? Hard to define but I know it when I hear it.
Going to see P & S in a mo.

Posh has to be getting your groceries from Harrods and as none of us seem to do that, not regularly anyway, we're obviously not posh.
I have done dailies, put dry washing away, sorted the gibble in the kitchen, made super progress with the life admin frog (DH will not be a pauper if I die first, but also won't be able to shop at harrods), walked and bathed Poppet.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

Taking inspiration from here I have cleaned the bathroom extractor fan. First time properly I think and it's been there years.
Did a little more of life admin. Now going to spend a couple of hours knitting and watching telly before DGD2 arrives for her sleepover.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Had a couple of hours with P & S then came home and had a pasta in a mug thing for lunch while I watched Songs of Praise.
The towels and tea towels will need bringing in soon. I'm planning on washing bath mats and bedding tomorrow if the weather stays dry. Not in the same load though!

Been round the artisan market. Spent my xmas money from the aged ps on earrings from my favourite jeweller. They are made from recycled silver spoons.

I've come to the conclusion that my chitting spuds are 'sulking', going to move them somewhere slightly warmer, and see what happens. Cannot wait for home grown spuds, with summer salad, yum yum.Walking doneChatting to neighbours I met on the way round, it seemed at least 30 folk or so I sort of know from the road, were out and walking!Dead mouse removed from cat 1, who wanted to take it to the bedroom.HM curry out of freezer for dinner tonight is defrosting.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Thanks everyone - you comments are really lovely. Thanks for the further explanations too pp.ASB, it sounds as if DD has turned the corner which is great news.Narco - I will definitely wave back. What are coming here to do?YL - that's really annoying that your colleague has joined your social group; don't let him spoil it for you though. Hopefully when he's sees you're not interested he will get bored and back off. You definitely need to be firm with him though.A story about Harrods. My mother always used Burdall's gravy salt when making gravy or mince or anything like that but when I came to London I couldn't find it in any of the supermarkets here. I finally found it, incredibly, in Harrod's food hall - at about 3 times the price in Hull! I didn't buy any though but bought it when I went home or sometimes my mother would post it to me. You can't buy it now.I got up early, vacc'd the windows and then went to the 8.30. The car said it was 3 degrees but it felt like minus 3 in church lol. On the way back I stopped off and bought a couple of bits, including the paper. After dropping those off as it was a sunny, if cold, day for once I decided to make the most of it, so clothed in a thick woolly, my non-Liberty scarf, overcoat and sensible shoes I went for a two mile walk. When I came back I made us a coffee and washed up the breakfast and coffee things. I made lunch and washed up again and as A had doused the table cloth in the Bovril drink he had had I took everything off the table and washed the cloth, along with a few other bits I had in the laundry basket. They are now par-drying int he TD and I'll finish them off on the rack. After that I accompanied A on his stair exercise and before long it was time for the 3rd lot of eye drops and tea. After tea I cut down the last of the amaryllises, which had had it, and put it in the bin. I'm saving the compost to top-up some of the other houseplants - a job for tomorrow. I then cleaned some spot stains off the sitting room carpet, something which I've been meaning to do for ages, so that frog has now croaked.7
