NatWest/RBS/Ulster £200 Switching Offer 15/2/2024-2/4/2024

Really surprised to see the bonus paid into my RBS account so quickly. Only paid in £1,500 late morning today, and the bonus was paid just a few hours later!
I got the NatWest and Ulster bank switch incentives last year. The last incentive which I received in this same RBS account today, was £125 in August 2019, and the extra £50 incentive paid in June 2020.
I'm a very happy bunny

That's because the terms say "within 60 days of switching to your eligible account", which was unclear. But it became clearer after they started paying the bonuses and people posted on here when they deposited their £1,250 that this meant from starting your switch rather than completing it.Bazzalona13295 said:Possibility is that putting the money in before the switch completed could be an issue.1 -

(2) Have a NatWest Select, Reward, Reward Silver, Select Silver, Reward Platinum, Select Platinum, Premier Select, Premier Reward, Black account, Premier Reward Black account, or Foundation (known as an ‘eligible account’). (This can be an existing or new account)

Thanks for posting this, I suspected this to be the case but was waiting for it to be confirmed. I was mulling maybe switching a burner account to either an existing NatWest or new Ulster, but was hesitant not only because of your experience but also of getting a possible ban and never being eligible again.mr_accountant said:Just an update, contacted Ulster to see why i never received the bonus and was told i received an incentive Jan 2021 and therefore not eligible.
Thus from my experience it appears that these 3 banks do not talk to each other but each bank does remember when you last had the bonus1 -
No problem.danny13579 said:

Thank you danny13579 but I messed up — missed the most important word in my post. What I wanted to say was that my NatWest account does NOT have the “Select” label. It’s an old account and back then when I opened it the “Select” label did not exist.danny13579 said:

I could switch in an old Halifax account that I don’t use much, but my NatWest account does not have any of those labels. I believe that the “Select” account is the “regular” current account, which is what I have, but because mine was opened many years ago it is not called “Select”.I was just wondering if somebody with an old NW current account also tried to get this bonus.0 -

Why risk it? Just open a new Select or Reward account or if you'd prefer change one of your existing accounts to Select or Reward.amsterdamgroove said:

Switch completed yesterday (12th) I put £1000 in on the 7th then £250 in on the 8th, I withdrew the £1250 on the 11th.Bazzalona13295 said:
And how recent did you switch/put the required money in?steven141 said:I just got my £200 from Ulster Bank so that’s all 3 now.1 -
It does as long as you switch in another account and transfer £1250 for 24 hours.amsterdamgroove said:Would this work for an existing customer of NatWest with an account that does have the “Select” or “Reward” labels? Does anyone know, please?0 -
I’m going to wait to pay mine in when I get paid, which is 28th March. As it’s a bank hol, will that be an issue? If I deposited 28th and took out 29th which is Good Friday.Appreciate it’ll be the following week after Easter Monday. Also, I opened reward with RBS by mistake. Is it easy to change it to select? Or should I wait until I’ve done the deposit and got the incentive?0
