  • Well thats my third switch completed (Ulster).

Done the first two money requirements, do Ulster later, then cross my fingers and toes!
  • So far, looks like I’m getting 1/2, but still waiting for Ulster to initiate the switch.

Kept money in RBS all over weekend but no sign of bonus. NatWest were pretty quick in paying out.
  • Just double checking - weekends count for the 1250 to be in the account? Paid in last night, will take out tonight after 24 hrs.
Also, I got the hubby involved, this is his first 'recreational' switch :D He did move properly to Nationwide last year for an incentive, But this is an additional account that he is switching and he is worried about having additional bank accounts in his name once it's all done (I'm not- I have multiple bank account after the last 6 months of switches).
I said its probably worse on your credit score to close them, but I'm not sure where I got this from. Anyone have any advice on managing the extra (unwanted) accounts - or not, if the case may be.

Looks like I'll only be getting £200 out of a possible £600. I've had bonus payments from RBS and NatWest since January 2020 so I technically wasn't eligible but decided to try and switch into my existing accounts. Switches went through, but no bonus payments have come through. I have never had an Ulster account so opened a new one and had my £200 payment come in (this switch completed after the RBS and NatWest one's so I am fairly confident this is my only bonus payment).

Hmmm......i thought some people were getting the bonus even though they had an incentive since Jan 2020!
    Maybe they were just lucky.
I complete all criteria for Ulster and Natwest on 4th March
Natwest paid the bonus on 8th. Still waiting on Ulster though, i may possibly have received an incentive here since 2020

If you're trying to get a bonus from RBS when you got one from them since 2020 then that's unlikely to work.
If you're trying to get a bonus from NatWest when you got one from them since 2020 then that's also unlikely to work.

There's no evidence on here (that I can see) of anyone having managed to do this. When did these switches complete?

The Ulster bonus is probably the only one you'll get.

How quickly do Nat West acknowledge you've applied to switch? I have a Nat West Select Account I opened a month ago and opened a second Chase account to switch that into Nat West. I did it yesterday (yes, I know it was Sunday). Thought I would at least get a standard email to confirm my application to switch today. Will also try switching an old Starling Account to RBS once I know this is going ahead. I last had a switch incentive from Nat West in 2018 and have never had RBS or Ulster.

I was in the same boat and contacted them today, they said to wait at least 2 working days for an online application before contacting them and an email will go out for ID confirmation etc. so just need to be patient :)

May i ask when your Ulster switch took place and approx dates for fulfilling the £1250 reqs and when the bonus was then paid ?
Ulster switch completed on the 5th March, the £1,250 went in that night and was in until the morning of the 7th. Bonus payment was made on the 8th.
