RBS is switching next week, I have my account details but no activation code to enable me to login to the app. When do they send this?0

Mine was sent by text the day I opened the account.surferstar said:RBS is switching next week, I have my account details but no activation code to enable me to login to the app. When do they send this?

My guess would be that extra accounts might not be an issues for them. They openly declare on their sign up page that you can have 20 accounts and after the first account they don't do a hard search. The TV advert for Chase says something like 56 million people have moved to Chase... do they mean 56 million different people, or 56 million accounts? If it's accounts, then for example people in this thread (including myself soon) will have an initial account and then three others, so that 56 million could actually be 14 million. Still good, but 14 isn't as impressive at 56 when they're declaring figures for promotional purposes!steven141 said:I’m wondering if Chase will eventually stop people from opening extra accounts easily if they are being switched out or if it doesn’t cost them anything as they send no correspondence or cards out. It’ll show as more accounts until they are switched out I guess.0 -
I’ve always wondered this when it comes to companies when they report customers if they mean per active profile account or per individual account.Ponchos said:

When you open a second chase account, basically just to do a switch, do they actually send another debit card?Ponchos said:

I can see that for example, in the nat West offer, that you can just say you don't have one. I've just done that switch, but from a FD account I wasn't using.
I quite like the idea of using a second chase account for another switch, but I really like Chase, and wouldn't want to risk losing it.

For those that have decided to try their luck 'against the T&C' by trying to get another switching bonus too soon after their previous one(s): Do you think in case the criteria is enforced strictly there will be a notification initiated by the bank that you don't qualify/won't receive it this time, or simply the £200won't be paid out? (I doubt anyone not within t&c will query why there's no payoff)danny13579 said:

NatWest application submitted at the weekend and due to complete on 13th March, fingers crossed on the triple crown 👑 👑👑
Please let us know if this succeeds for you, as no one on here (as far as I know) has managed to do this yet and I am pondering giving it a shot.

Someone else mentioned that for the previous offer they got a notification that they didn't qualify.E_zroda said:

When applying for other accounts have any of you changed details like phone number or email? I didn’t and wonder if I should have.Btw I’d asked on here how to get an activation code for the app, was told it arrived by text but you need to manually sign up for online banking once you have your customer number and debit card.0

Payment just arrived.Completion 5 March
payment 8 March
However I did send the £1250 again yesterday and perhaps this triggered the payment and the original payment was sent to close to switch completion.0 -
Gone for the Natwest switch. It's prgressed to the point where I can sign into the NW app and see the account. But doesn't seem to be anything yet, either email or text about the actual switch.
Have I messed this up and done something wrong? When applying I did it as a switch and entered my Chase (2nd burner account) details. Starting to think I did something wrong!0
