After receiving the £175 bonus at what point can you close the account? Right away or not. The paying in £2000 to avoid £3 charge does not appeal to me

I'd recommend you downgrade it to a fee-free Classic account and then keep it around for future switching offers.
Otherwise, once the incentive is paid you can close it down whenever you want - same day even.

Has anyone who has had a bonus since 2020 tried and been successful?

Has anyone tried to switch to Lloyds using a new Starling donor account?
My partner applied and gave them all the details and on the Switch page, it said "Can't do it now, we cannot switch your account but you can continue and do it later".
The moment they pressed Continue without the Switch they got "Something went wrong" No email received.

Would doing the switch later void the £175 switching bonus?

Did Llyods already run a credit check on them?
Im thinking this warrants a call to Lloyds tomorrow, not sure if they can give any more info.
Should a new application be tried again?
  • Any recent payouts? Switch completes today but no sign of payment so far, earlier in the thread I saw people receive the cash before the switch completed.

My understanding is that Lloyds are pretty hot on ensuring you haven't had a bonus since the stated date with Lloyds themselves, but if you've only had a bonus with Halifax since the dated date you've a better chance of slipping through (although still less likely than Natwest Group it seems).
  • switch started on the 12th, completed today 21st, £175 also received today

Does bouncing money between my Classic and Club accounts fulfil £2k minimum deposit rule for Club Lloyds?

Received my £175 so pleased with that. Need to wait a while for the Disney+ subscription to become active.
