And what do you do when you hit a traffic jam on the motorway and have to come off? Those dogging sites can be a nightmare to find in the dark! ;)

Cant find those in my POI.....:rotfl:
  • The Play.Com item at £109.99 is indeed now the cheapest. Check out the best prices at any time on http://www.find-satnav-deals.com (no referral payments).

By the way, I ordered my TomTom One from Amazon on Wed 2 Jan for free delivery and I had received by Mon 7 Jan!

Hi everyone, after reading this thread I ordered the Christmas edition from amazon at £99... I went on today to see when its going to be despatched and then I clicked on the product again to see that they've put all the prices up now... (£129 I think it said for the Christmas Cracker edition) - so I'm glad I took the plunge and ordered mine last week at £99!!! (just got to see how long it takes to get it delivered now!)

Don't let this deter you from emailing amazon for a refund if you bought the item before Christmas. I bought mine when they were at £120 and only got round to asking for a refund because of the reduction to £99 yesterday! After the price had gone back up to £129.

Hi all - for those snooping around for a Tom Tom, Halfords have a voucher page, not that easy to stumble across - managed to find it though - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10651&storeId=10001&langId=-1&productId=260869&p1=38270&p2=31284 this has knocked a further £28.99 off the system I was looking for - £45 off the high street price - of course, only a bargain if you are after one!!beerchug.gif

You need to ensure you enter the code EXACTLY as it is shown - it is case sensitive, so best to cut and paste from the page (ensuring you do not select any non-text) ordered mine on Sunday without trouble - whilst the page is on the site, I cannot see that it would not be valid. As someone else mentioned, it is only available for home delivery, which is also free (unless you want to specify delivery day).

    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

I think your better off getting the Europe version for £125 as it has 1Gb internal memory as opposed to the 512mb of the UK only edition. Or the EU traffic edition for £151 from Halfords.

I am not sure you live in the real world. Have you ever travelled in Spain? Or an area you are not familiar with and got lost? God doesn't seem to have put signposts which change to tell you the direction to the place you are going to.

My brother-in-law had a view similar to yours until my sister got TomTom on her phone... he was soon converted. If you are happy stopping and trying to read a road map or arguing about the right way with your partner then of course feel free to carry on. However, I am not sure why you are visiting this thread.

Having used a TomTom I think the Traffic module on it would be well worth thinking about.... very useful!
