Just get the Garmin Nuvi 200 from Halfords for £99 or better value the Nuvi 250 with Europe maps for £115 from Amazon with a free case. Equally as good as the tomtom one. Just make sure you get 2008 maps.

They say that price fixing doesn't exist but it does strike me as slightly worrying when all the stores raise their prices at almost exactly the same time...

Of course it does - BA and Virgin were fined for it and a few of the supermarkets are under investigation at the moment

I reckon the price of these will slowly creep up again now that stores are clearing the Christmas boxed ones out. They've probably realised that people will still buy them regardless of the packaging....

After reading this thread I wondered if anyone had bought this sat nav, or whether i would be better just buying the one that was on offer at £99

I need to buy a sat nav, PREFERABLY one with traffic alerts. Is this a good buy?

I am a bit dim when it comes to gadgets!! If I get one with traffic alerts, does it need to be compatible with my mobile? How do I find out which mobile you need to have?
