  • I have used both, both seem fine, the ultimate test was when we were going to Nurburgring one of us had TomTOM one Garmin. Both gave a different route. TomTom was a little more direct.
However...My brothers little village does not appear on TomTom maps of England (he's in Scotland) however - it does appear on Garmin!!

For all the latest retail prices for Sat Navs check out the prices on this price comparison website.
    http://www.find-satnav-deals.com/

It shows the prices for TomTom, Sony, Navman and Garmin from retailers like Amazon, Dixons, John Lewis, Comet, Halfords and others.

Personally I would wait a week or so for this one to be worthwhile.

Amazon have over 1000 left and the packaging is very Christmassy.

Unless they are going to rebox them I think they may well have to discount them further

As Amazon have a 30 day price drop guarantee this wont be a problem ;)

    Guys and Gals:

PC World WILL match the TomTom One v3 Cracker Edition (UK)

I checked online that my local PC world have it in stock. I rang the o844 for PC world (waste of time) the guy said go there and the manager will check.

So I went to my local PCW. Grabbed a (useless) salesperson and told them I wanted to price match. 5 minutes later sat in the Business section (you get to watch Spiderman DVD) and the guy agreed with amazon. I now have a TomTom for £98!

Set it up in seconds, heated screen and all, and I tested it all the way home!

Cheers for making me aware of this!

  • I just ordered the Xmas cracker edition on Amazon £99.99, thanks for the post.
  • Am I right in saying that it comes with windscreen holder & car charger? how about carry case and home charger, does anyone know? do i need to buy them seperately? cheers
  • yes it comes with a windscreen holder and car charger. They are selling the carry case and home charger together for £14.38

Not that you need a home charger as it charges via USB on the PC ;)
Plus under normal circumstances you would have it plugged in to the car ciggarette lighter anyway ;)
  • Has anybody had any experience of the TomTom RDS TMC - Traffic Receiver?

I was thinking that it is a worthwhile investment to upgrade to this but have seen a negative review so am a bit unsure now...
