  • I made a batch (5 portions) of nana’s magic soup yesterday so that will be work lunches this week (about 65p per portion), with either a bread roll or chunk of sourdough out of the freezer each day.

    Recipe...? Please :)

I'm not great with soup. They end up either way too complicated and muddy tasting or a bit bland.

It's a Tesco recipe so should be on their website.  They used to use it in one of their adverts on TV a while back.
  • I didn't realise it was a Tesco recipe. I thought it was JKS's grandmother's recipe! :D

Sweet potatoes are supposed to be better for you than white potatoes, but I prefer white potatoes.

My husband snaffled my melon ! So I got wild smoked sockeye salmon, hardboiled organic beetroot and eggs, organic celery and cherry tomatoes and Mozzarella di Bufala di Campana plus olive oil and apple cider vinegar dressing.

  • I’ve made a chicken, spinach and tomato sandwich for lunch tomorrow, also in my lunchbox are a few Brazil nuts and a mix of bleberries, raspberries and strawberries.

    Thanks Katiehound.

    Lol, Wednesday 😄

It’s a great recipe, really easy and reminds me of how Heinz cream of tomato used to taste when I was a kid. I only use about 500ml of stock and 100ml of coconut milk as I like the soup to be quite thick 😋
