Part of the meat ration had to be taken as corned beef, so it was a real WW2 ration lunch box with a wholemeal bread and corned beef sandwich, no butter, with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrot and an apple, and a rock bun. I had a flask of tea.1

Soup season here. Made a batch of Thai spiced sweet potato for this week (plus some for the freezer). I reckon just under £2 for 5 portions. Bargain and yummy 😋2
