When I was on these boards years ago I came across the konmari (Marie kondo) method and that's what saved my sanity with 'stuff' I realised more than anything I was buying too much and holding on to too much 🙈🤣 and if you haven't a lot of time you just do one category at a time. I.e go round the whole house looking for all the books and put in one place then declutter from there and find them a home. And work through the categories one by one as you have time. I think there are downloadable printable sheets of categories on Pinterest too so free to get hold of. Her book is fab though for right living spaces and it truly changed my mindset. Now you can't stop me decluttering 🤣

@redofromstart hey! So lovely to see you! And gosh well remembered! Do you know what I still don’t know if he’s ever had one! I’d forgotten all about the fact he was so interested in food. He’s very much in the quiet grumpy almost a teenager phase, but i wonder if he chose the recipe whether it would tempt him to help more. Good thinking!
@debtfreewannabe321 I am pretty good at letting stuff go that I don’t want or need. But I could probably do with a little cull.2 -
Had a very productive day, worked from home, which meant I could have the shopping delivered and do 3 loads of washing. I made chilli in the slow cooker, I used veggie mince but it’s got a bit of a weird after taste. But hopefully it will be nicer tomorrow. I cooked enough rice for burritos tomorrow too. I went through the cupboards and have been really good at throwing things away that aren’t needed and decanting things into smaller jars etc. Repurposing things. I’ve even put all of the children’s snacks into a snack box. I sorted the drawer of doom, well one of 4. I still need to clean the fridge (worst job ever) as well as sort the under sink cupboard (second worst job ever). Then the kitchen is done. I need to do the cupboard in the lounge. And all of the clothes. But I’m very pleased with my motivation today.I also did my budgets and realised I literally have about £2 spare this month. No money for spends what so ever….. but OH is away and I guess me and the children will just have to find free things to do! Which might actually be nice. We have so many board games and we’ve not had a movie night for a long time. And baking and cooking is a necessity this month so might be fun.5

Another day. I am rather tired after staying up too late sorting things. Going to try and go to bed early tonight. I wish I only needed 5 hours sleep I wanted to carry on yesterday. Have to be in work all day today but mad dash to pick the children up at 3 then carry on working. We’ve got swimming at 7 tonight. So I’ll get everything I need to get done like lunches etc at 5.15, I’ll try my plan of spending that time sorting everyone. I’d like to spend 5.45-6.45 chilling and sorting clean washing as there is mountains.I would like to carry on decluttering maybe for an hour between 8.30-9.30pm the undersink cupboard and the lounge drawer of doom. I’d like to fall asleep on the sofa around 10.30 to catch up on sleep but we’ll see.
Today will have to be a NSD as per not having any spending money. I have made myself a porridge pot, I have crisps and chocolate bar and fruit and biscuits, so that should keep me going. I am going to need to dye my hair this month but I will see if I can take that money out of the vouchers I have for Tesco or Sainsbury’s.Right well I need to unearth myself from the cats and get in the shower. Have a great day.6 -
Ok haven’t long sat down. Been the craziest of days, so busy at work. Then came home and sorted the clean washing and went through Roos clothes and got rid of all the too small stuff into the charity bag and did the same with Mays underwear. I’ve wanted to do more sorting and decluttering but I also took the children swimming, unloaded the dishwasher, did the litter tray unpacked my bag from the weekend and even managed to prep slow cooker curry for tomorrow from scratch which I rarely do.May changed her own bed today and Roo hung up and sorted his clothes, and both children packed their own lunches for tomorrow. So progress.I’ve even managed to do my invoice, which is a necessity as I really need the money. I’ve realised I ordered 12 pairs of trousers for May instead of 6. I didnt realise they came in packs of 2. So I will send them back so £22.50 will be refunded. Which is much needed, so that will be my spends for the month!!!! Today was a NSD.4

Morning. A little bit on the tired side today. Keep waking up at 5.30, and second night of not getting to bed until late.Working a long day today. Won’t be home until 6. Will turn the slow cooker on before I leave. Then I just need to cook some rice.House things I need to do to keep things moving in the right direction. I need to go through my clothes and sort the lounge drawers. Not sure I’ll get all that done as rather a large task, but I’m hoping to put something on the tv whilst I do it.Needs to be another NSD today.3

I managed to get through the day! And it was a no spend day! The curry I made was absolutely delicious, I’m so happy I made the effort to make it last night.
Children have made their lunches again, there’s no washing to do and I did the dishwasher yesterday so we’re good there. I am v much exhausted and then some. Getting so little sleep is definitely taking its toll. I am now in my pyjamas on the sofa, children are in bed.4
