Haha, think you may be waiting a long time for photos, though I am 60 in June 26 so hoping to get it done before then for a hypothetical house party I may have.
Glad you enjoyed Yorkshire and well done on sorting so many of your Christmas presents. My 3 adult son’s and partners main preference is money but I normally also buy my sons boxer shorts, aftershave and chocolate. Will prob get them online on Black Friday. Already got hubby aftershave and will get his fave M&S mint chocolates. We go to Turkey on Friday so after that will start feeling a bit more ready for Christmas.
Did manage to get Morrisons online shop for Christmas Eve which I use mostly for their Aldi price matches. The thought of getting the decs out is not pleasant at momentMoney SPENDING Expert1 -
Me and hubby don't buy for each other - haven't done for quite a few years now. We just buy things as and when we need them. I managed to book my Tesco for the 22nd December. Just more or less a normal shop as we go to Yorkshire for Xmas Day. Also managed to book one for New years Eve so can just add to it as necessary. Ooh - enjoy Turkey - hopefully it will be good weather for you.1

@uralmaid pleased to read that you enjoyed your mini break in Yorkshire. I like to get most of the Christmas shopping done in November so we can then enjoy the various festive activities in the leadup to the big day. We are off to the big city this year to enjoy the Christmas lights, store decorations, Christmas market, etc.
Happy holidays @bluenose1. My favourite mint chocolates are Bend!cks dark English mints.1 -
A mostly good week so far and looking forward to the weekend as we have friends coming to stay. I spent a couple of days with my daughter in Yorkshire. We went Xmas shopping and I managed to get most of the gifts I needed for the family and then armed with info ordered a couple more when I got home. Also found a lovely coat and daughter insisted on buying it for me as part of my Xmas present so really pleased. Planning to just enjoy the weekend with our best friends and hopefully planning some time together for little trips in the New Year. I say mostly a good week, the one downer was finding out that someone we know had tripped and fallen down some stairs which caused a massive bleed on the brain and has died. So sad. You never know what the future brings so hold your loved ones tight and enjoy every minute. x2

@uralmaid How tragic, as you say make the most of life. Nice to get something you really want for Christmas, and bonus not to pay, that was very thoughtful of your daughter. I am at that age i never know what to ask for as have most things i want. Plus i am too impatient to wait!!! For example decided I wanted a M&S Rosie hooded dressing gown as they look so warm and cozy, plus i thought it looked quite classy, whereas my son said i looked like a boxer
Anyway i could have asked my hubby to buy for Christmas but oh no I NEED wear it now.!! Well not exactly now as am in Turkey currently having a latte in the sun after a day walking in the sun, swimming in the sea and reading...
Have a lovely weekend with your friends.Money SPENDING Expert1 -

Hi @uralmaid I was pleased to read that you had a good weekend with friends. Drum roll please... I bought paint and intend to begin decorating next week!
@bluenose1 I did smile at your son's comment about your new hooded dressing gown. Wish that I was enjoying a latte in the sun after a dip in the sea. Enjoy every moment of your holiday, because apparently we are due some colder weather here.

Thanks ladies, last day of holiday so having a goodbye latte at the pool coffee shop. Gorgeous hotel with massive pool which is empty cos it is freezing cold. My husband braved it once and said never again. Though the sea is still lovely to swim in. Think we will do same again next year as was only £400 each for a week All Inclusive and has been a real treat of a holiday. Not looking forward to the cold but looking forward to seeing my son who lives at home, the dog, a cup of tea in my china mug, my own bed and my lovely soft Soak and Sleep Pillows. Not necessarily in that order.....Money SPENDING Expert1
