Morning all.
Hugs all esp Valli, and breathe.
I was in the WAC again, obv up now but fasting for a blood test. Think I'll do my stretches then some admin before a nice soak in the bath.
May we all have a day that doesn't pile on too much stress.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all xx
Hmmm. Methinks we need that collective Flylady megahug this morning. All together and squeeeeeeze ❤❤❤
Paid stuff for me today. You know the routine as well as I do by now: I'm up, made my bed, dressed, etcetera etcetera etcetera (I can't say that without thinking of Yul Brynner - shows my age 🤣)
One day at a time. And breathe....
Much love heading out into the ether.

Morning all.
Big (((hugs))) to you, Valli. Taking all the greatgrandchildren out with your mum for the day is a lovely idea - they need to make good memories too. I hope you have a less stressful day today xx
Pleased to hear that a decision has been made at last on P's surgical needs, and thanks for asking after me too, round x
After the lack of sleep (only 3.5 hours) the previous night, and having to be ready for the OpenScreech engineer to come anytime after 8.00, I wasn't up to much for the remainder of yesterday - though I did keep up with the thread, and I managed to file a few more ancestors. There are just 5 more boxes still to do in the first sort-through, and after that's done, I'll go back to photo sorting for a while.
I did achieve a bit of flying from the list (!!!) in the gap between finishing breakfast and the engineer arriving at 8.40. He did a very thorough job of hunting for faults on our line, checked the main socket again (changed by the indoor engineer only last Friday), replaced a corroded connecting socket on the side of our house where the telephone wire comes in and the cable goes on round to the back of the house, and finally connected us to a spare line from the telegraph pole to the local box. Since then, our internet has been much better, so fingers are tightly crossed that this is not a one-day wonder!
Last night I slept a bit better, though this morning I woke up at 5:30 from a not particularly nice dream. Today I must try to
- email DS2 [done]
- get DH to strip his bed
- do WMx1 or 2 and hang out what I can
- ring K
- visit the optician for my eye test at 12.20
- buy a birthday card for DH
- get DH to make a decision on going out somewhere for his birthday tomorrow; he wants to go out for our evening meal, but I fancy seeing a bit of nice scenery in daylight too, and I had kept the date free
- walk Rosie
- sell some books online, now that I've found the perfect box for them
- book a lunch out in April
Not having made it to Action Heart yesterday, I really ought to go there today, but not at all sure if that will happen, as the optician appointment and Rosie's walk will cut across the time I usually go to the gym.
Best get started! ((((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all, as needed xxx

Valli... I shall polish your halo and fluff your wings because you are FAR mre patient than I. I would however be having a frank discussion with sis. you can't hold all the emotion inside and you need to present a united front not be at odds with one another. Would she listen if you wrote it in a text for her? She maybe feels she is pushed out with you being closer and more available at a moments notice and be wanting this responsibility of collecting prescriptions because it makes her feel like she is doing something.. she may think you are getting all the attention and time.. It is also very common that the one doing the majority of the work is the evil one and the visiting 'child' is golden.. the old saying 'familiarity breeds contempt' is sadly very true for thse carng for the elderly.. they do tend to focus on taking out the bad feelings on those closest. You and sis need to talk about this before it drives a wedge which cannot be fixed. Hugest of huge hugs
I really hope everything calms down a little

Valli, a huge hug. You are so patient, dealing with everything thrown at you. As ever, Piggers has hit the nail on the head, so I shall say no more, but am here, along with all the other flyladies, for whatever hugs / sounding off that you need.
I kept out of the WAC last night (anyone would think that my WAC visits were connected to going to work the next day…), had some now forgotten vivd dreams. Unfortunately no trips to Shrewsbury were involved 😉.
Up and at ‘em this morning. Wm has just finished, bedding stripped, hair washed…yes, it is Tuesday, so, now that Round has said it, I have Yul Brunner and etcetera, etcetera, etcetera going round in my head.
Off out for lunch later, meeting with a friend in a farm shop café. Looking forward to the catch up.
Love to all, back later x5 -

Thanks all, for listening. I needed to vent.
Mind you I did ‘win’ the aged Ps for Christmas…since covid they’ve had Christmas dinner cooked by me or eaten here. Sis announced she was thinking of having them last Christmas because it might be mum’s last lucid one…but my DD wasn’t happy with that as we’ve been doing it for the last few years and she thought it unfair that they should suddenly get her back (as DD said, she visit them frequently, 2/3 times a week…and cleans when necessary,, other grandchildren don’t get up so often). But I had an ace which i played beautifully.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all, It is a sunny but cold start to the day here.
My list for today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Take my car back to the garage since I changed the tyre yesterday after hitting a pothole but think there is something else not right.
Do paid stuff
Do 2 loads of laundry
Do required uni work
Open the windows and let some air in
Make a start on decluttering the bedroom
HHI
Sort the bags/lunches/clothes for tomorrow
Think that is everything that I need to tackle today. Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday.9 -
Valli.. it is definitely a conversation which needs to be had.. it is very hard on all of you. As you say it could well be that sis is trying to take as much 'burden' from you beause of you health issues.. she may think she is being helpful.. it is not fun caring for older family.. my mother and sisters have already been told I am not going to be the one doing any caring when she is more in need.. I will do shopping and prescription ordering but I am not doing cleaning, appointments or personal care stuff.. my sisters can do that.. neither have children or any responsibility beyond dogs and my mother and I wouldn't work. My middle sis is most like my stepdad so she seems to prefer her company and the other is a namby-pamby 36 y/o baby..
girls flung to schoolOH took Twinkles bag because she hadn't picked it up and he took them out to the car and didn't check she had it.I refilled cat biscuits then fed them all the favourite bits out of the tub..
Naughty Norris has discovered he can open the front door.. NOT practical.. he has let the 4 of them out the front twice this week.. the first time was really late and OH saw Treacle looking through the front window.. they were all out there terrified! He is the hardest to get back in too. I have the chain on cnstantly.. we really need a new front door!
Apparently the cuncil have a grant scheme thing we may be able to use to get the doors sorted so I shall be investigating that today.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
PIggers even a chain on the door, would allow enough room foe the cats to get out, how about a large bolt at the top of door ?Valli, I did tell my sister where to get off, she is (for what ever reason) a right pain.Ironig is done and awayGS(1) birthday card postedKitchen doneFire doneCats fedIt is drizzling...............Want to hoover my car out, but it can witWant to start digging, where the spuds are gonig to go, but that can also wait.So I'm goinig to wander the internet and sort out what I want to buy with my Vouchers, given to me as Christmas gifts.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
