Why can't you be specific as you have been asked to be several times over your random threads.
What is this trailer? Do you mean a mobile home in a fixed location, a caravan which is mobile, a Camper van?0 -

I wonder if i bough white diesel from the pump that I could get a rebate from the inland revenue?0

I doubt it. How much fuel are you using a week for the heater?0

If you fill a jerry-can with diesel from a forecourt, how on earth could you prove to the tax-man that you're using it for heating, rather than sticking it in your car? a trailer parked up on the road side(Slight aside, and kind of the reverse situation. Several years ago it was big news in our little village that a guy got done for running his diesel car on heating oil. How they caught him I don't know, but he got a hefty fine. Not sure modern diesels with all the new technology would run on heating oil, but his old banger seemed to run fine, and had been doing for many years by all accounts ....)

Perhaps someone tipped off the revenue men?
If they dipped his tank at the roadside they would be able to tell it was kerosene, not diesel. And a well tuned nose would probably recognise that the exhaust fumes were different.
If he was running on red diesel (agricultural and also used in some heating boilers) again it would show up on a tank dip.0 -

I don't recall saying you did. I was responding to CliveOfIndia's comment.
Anyway, back to the topic. How much fuel do you use in your diesel heater to warrant so much concern over the price Crown charged you for the quantity you bought?
You surely can't expect to pay the same price for a few litres from the pump, compared to a customer who buys 500 or 1000 litres at a time.

Sadly, the OP has been banned (possibly related to his enthusiasm for "alternative facts" and dodgy newspapers). We will never know.
