They will deliver 200 litres of oil as well, but you will pay a much higher price per litre for that small a quantity.

It also makes little sense to be ordering that small an amount for pretty much everyone. Tanks usually hold over 1000 litres minimum so most people fill them up or at least half fill them.
i dont have a tanker i have a diesel heater

If you don't have a bulk tank, you don't get bulk prices.

Do you have a friend who has oil heating for their home? If so, perhaps you could ask them if you could syphon 20 litres from their tank and either pay them what they paid for it, or offer to pay them at the going rate when they next get the tank topped up.

I guess it depends how much fuel you get through with your diesel heater. Is it worth the hassle?

This is what I don't quite understand. How have you ended up with the only house in Manchester that doesn't have mains gas?

I think OP mentioned earlier that he has a diesel heater.
I am guessing this will be one of those small portable Webasto or Webasto copy types, but I could be wrong.

I may be wrong, but I think the OP is saying they have a standard gas central heating system, but they've got a little diesel-powered heater as well (perhaps in a greenhouse/garage/workshop/whatever, similar to the paraffin heater I remember my dad using in the greenhouse when I was a kid).  Which would explain why they're buying just a small quantity of fuel "at the pump".
If that's the case then it's a whole different ball-game to those of us buying oil in bulk for central heating.  You aren't going to get the cheaper price that comes from buying in bulk - and I suspect you'll also be paying the full rate of tax and VAT since it's not being used for domestic heating.

Yes indeed it is! the Chinese version have coped the 100 year expired patenty Webasco diesel heater

It will run easy on diesel or heating oil (but we can not get any heating oil at half decent price!) only has a 1 gallon tank though and is 12V DC for the fan, fuel pump and glow plug

No it is not a green house heater (what I think you mean) thoughs are a bowl with a wick and no flue for ventalation. My diesel heater has a proper combustion chamber with a 7/8" exhust pipe

Should the tax for this be no more then 5% VAT?
