The Next sales are a load of crap. They wheel out the crap they couldn't shift and nothing in there was in the store before Christmas. You can get cheaper and better elsewhere without being a numpty queueing at 5am.

It's one of those things I wish I was into. However, I'm a tall man and most NEXT stuff doesn't fit. I like it - but no good if it doesn't fit! What does, I really don't wish to become a sardine for an hour to find!

Surprisingly I once picked up a pair of 40 XXL suit trousers from Next Clearance (L is 33", XL is 35" so these must be 37"). It's seriously annoying that they don't usually order them by size and hanger sizes often don't match up with the garment size and you have to spend ages looking though.

I never queue, I normally go to one in a smaller town, normally epsom as we have a few out of town ones whch are hammered with 2 hour queues for the tills etc, never had more than one person in front of me in the queue always fairly quiet but whats the betting tomorrow now it will be heaving lol

I work at H&M and we get discount on any sale items which is great as it usually means we get 75% off!

Apparently its pretty much the whole of the Winter range in this sale, just clearing the stock for the new season range coming in, the Next store in Havant has only been open for about 2/3 months so there is very little old stuff in there anyway.

  • Think you lot who are going are mad in the head getting caught up in all the hype.

The stuff they sell normally is vastly overpriced, in the sale it just makes them normal high street prices.
  • I used to Queue for the NEXT sale - but we now have a Next clearance and if you wait you can get that top you wanted for £2, and very often its not just the rubbish. I have got tops recently that were selling for £40 in the shops down to £2 and £1. You have to rumage and be patient but its worth it, esp in womens clothing. You don't get so many bargins in the boys clothes or mens.

In Next Clearance I have managed to get suit jackets for £5 and silk ties for £1, including some of their luxury ones which were originally £20 each. At those prices would cost more to dry clean, cheaper to bin.
